Back when the Game Commission actually cared about Pennsylvanian animals and inhabitants and didn't put a dollar on everything an outdoorsman can touch. Excellent video, and I truly appreciate every moment of watching this

Pennsylvania has a lot of black bears. They really began expanding their range in the 1990's. What I'm really interested in are mountain lions in Pennsylvania.

Yes. I also am interested to know how many cougars are roaming Pa . I was told they say there isn’t any in Pa. But let me just say. There has been multiple sightings in the Pocono and surrounding areas off the mountain. I do believe they’re around my neck of the woods.

For those who don't know. Gary Alt did a truly fantastic job with the black bears in PA. Not only in his study and correcting may misconceptions but also rebuilding the herd to the size it is today. In my opinion he also did a great job with deer management before he retired.

Why dont they produce educational films today...they eliminated the manuel....even more of a need. Pa needs an "ask the officer" segment..where game officers answer questions and dismss myths.....other states have done this...it costs nothing...in harrisburg dollars and establishes a repoir with like minded conservationists.

Your map of bear range needs a slight update. Here in Erie County, they are plentiful. But we didn't make the range map. Nice informative video though :)

I think the video is 30+ years old. It definitely would be very interesting to see the current range of black bears in Pennsylvania and compared to this old map.

God says only kill what you're gonna eat. I understand a lot of hunters want licenses but I think it's cruel to kill any wild animal. If it's not for food and it's just for fun. I saw a beautiful black bear coming to our mobile home park. But it was kind, it didn't bother it. Walked right past cats and nobody bothered it. I don't think anybody should shoot a bear if it's not violent, and it's not causing any damage. Or you don't need it for food, then. Leave it alone cause God says. Only kill what you're gonna eat, including deer.

These people will never answer here.. so stop 🛑 asking questions....I think it is cruel in a way. Because ,what if the bear grows or swells up for some reason, with that tight collar around there neck, they could be choked to death 💀 This is sad..

I’ve learned a lot . I am a faithful watcher of the.. hdontap.. live cam site. Thanks for bringing that to us . You PGC and the dontap guys do a excellent job in allowing us to view these animals in their habitat. Much joy in watching. So thanks for all you guys do!
