Wow, lots of value here. Puts a lot of pressure on the $1800 Monta Noble as the natural comp to this one. Is it's sw300 movement really worth $1200 more than this Traska? Hard to make that argument I think.

I just found out about this 38mm Commuter by Traska. It's like Jon from Traska read my mind. Although I'm ok with a 36mm watch, I prefer 38. And then to make a Carbon Black dialed version seems like the ultimate GADA. These will be a great value. I've been impressed by my Traska Venturer. I wouldn't say the finishing is at the same level as Monta. Although I wish Monta would go the way of 38mm for the Noble and/or Triumph. The details on a Monta are just better. But Traska is very good for the money and I do think the ace up Traska's sleeve is that hardness coating. It really doesn't seem to take away from the "brightness" of the steel, like I've seen on hardness coated Citizens. And it works quite well. My Traska has like virtually no signs of wear and tear. Which with enough wear I can't say from a lot of other watches. So yes this looks like a simple watch but also looks extremely well executed especially at the price point.

Great review, plenty of detailed information. I'm really liking this watch, especially the 'single baton' indices at '1' thru '11'.

I’ve owned three Montas and am not happy with the indices or the case shape. Just ordered the Artic White. I like the OP like indices and hands plus no date. Lug to lug is a bit shorter as well so hoping it exceeds the Monta in personal taste.

Now that is a very good looking watch! I'll be looking for this. So glad it's a solid back! I'd love brushed sides but I can always have it done. Female end links and the on the fly are icing on the cake.

This watch price for EU is 590 eu, excluding the taxes. Therefore, I directly compare this brand with Swiss watch, STEINHART, so I always choose Steinhart for performance and price point.

As someone who owns Steinhart and Traska watches, I'd say besides Steinhart's Swiss movements, the Traska is better built in almost every way.

Hardly anyone reviewing the Miyota movements mentions the rotor noise. I can still hear it in my Citizen diver , which is pretty thick. It's the only thing putting me off the 34mm ( not keen on the sun ray colours - obvious marketing choices).

Actually too simple for me. I’d take either the Wise AD9 series or Henry Archer Vesterhav series any time of the day over the Commuter.

I've been looking everywhere for this used (since they are sold out) and haven't had any luck. May as well leave this comment in the off-chance you are interested in selling it.
