6:20 FYI it's a pacific-centered world map, which is commonly used in East Asian and Oceania Countries including Australia. China didn't make up this version of world map to make itself look prominent. China just adopted it, because its projection produced much less distortions for China's territory compared with other mainstream world maps used in Western countries. Furthermore China is completely in the left half of this map not the central area( which is mostly pacific ocean).

I was there a few days ago in the evening after dark, and the view is fantastic, but it´s like a kindergarten up there, kids and toddlers running around screaming, crying and playing. It is a horrible place to be with a camera and a tripod at night, because the reflections in the windows sorta ruin all the photos for you. But I love Shanghai anyway :-)

毕然 ... Sadly yes, some people judge China without having been here, which is their loss really ... I'm from London, but now live in Shanghai. It is a beautiful, dynamic city with a very bright future ahead. And the same goes for many other cities in China. I've been to Beijing, Wuhan, Changsha, Suzhou and Hangzhou ... They all have their own unique styles, but one thing they all share in common is rapid growth and modernisation ... Exciting times ahead for China ... and Shanghai will continue to be the centrepiece.
