Hi friends! For those interested in doing something for Valloween, lets use the #valloweencostume on KZbin, IG/FB to share each other and support each other within the costuming community and then if anyone wants to use #valloween2023 to help push their content further than the costuming niche then I highly reccomend using that. There are no "rules" for this, aside from be kind and supportive to each other, but duplicate costumes are allowed, any costume you think fits the gothic/Halloween aethetic or Valentines aesthetic works, you don't have to make/buy anything new for your post. Let's just focus on this being a fun way to celebrate Valentines Day. I plan to post an official announcement the final week of Janury on the community board and my IG/FB, I will also post WIP leading up to Valentines Day (you are more than welcome to post WIP too if you have some) and then on that day we can all post our costumes and just share and support each other in any ways that we like. Yay! I am so excited!

I love the idea of identifying 2-3 key elements that really make this outfit/costume/item something you love, and focusing on getting those 100%. I'm going to run with this in my sewing this year.

Lets use the hashtag #valloweencostume to be specific to us and that way there are fewer posts to sift through to share each other but for traction we can also use #valloween2023 I'll make an official IG/FB post and community post the last week of January too!

Oh my gosh yes! That would be perfect, I encourage people to use old costumes if they can't make anything new. We will use the hashtag Valloweencostume and I'll do a community post and post on IG the last week of January!

Nvm about the pattern question. Have you thought about removing the collar and just making a removable collar instead that way you have a lace one, a petter pan, pilgrimisj one
