I see lots of AmeriTowne and DPM Building Kits... Great way to populate a town on the cheap! Awesome details too!! I've used LEDs exclusively, and used colored cellophane as filters to dim and soften the lights. San Juan is STILL hard to reach?? They were 10 years ago, when I could've afforded to spend REAL money... Guess they aren't that interested. I've never Scratchbuilt a large Building before. Looks like fun. You sell Kits?? I'll have to look into it. Carmine ✈🚂🚙

Thanks Carmine!! Your so right about San Juan, I have attempted to make contact with them a number of times with no response. I do sell kits on ebay and have been for about 8 or so years now. If you search under Rich White Models you will find them, all O-Scale hand cast in High Grade White Hydrocal from my own hand carved masters. Check them out, I try to keep my prices low by not selling complete kits, just the walls etc. Thanks, Rich White

what do you use to build the large shapes before covering with rocks etc I am using chicken wire? wondered if you way was easy? stunning build love the mountains best I have seen on youtube ? best wishes ken

Thanks Ken for the kind comments!! As far as my scenery shell I have always used cardboard strips which I adhere together with hot glue. If you go back and look at video Mt. Bullion update #4 you will see the mountain side area above town with just the cardboard strips in place ready for the Hydrocal/paper towel covering. If you keep the strips about 1" wide or less they are easy to bend and crumple into the shapes that you are looking for. Having never used chicken wire I would think that the cardboard strip method is a bit easer to come up with a more "Rugged" look to your scenery. Thanks again, Rich White

You should be able to pack a lot into the space you have. Remember that my modules are only 18" wide so if you take your time and really plan out your scenes you can come up with a really cool little operation. Thanks, Rich White
