They keep bringing up OSU spending 20M to retain their roster and bring in 3 other players. They beat 2 teams already this season with higher confirmed NIL.

No one can argue that spending the ABSOLUTE most will guarantee success (LSU) however if your not in the top 5 you have little chance and if your not in the top 10 in spending you have almost NO chance.

I feel bad for these guy when they go the NFL and have to take big pay cuts. I've been saying for a while we need to pay all football athletes of all ages and that could help acclimate these guys to taking pay cuts as they age. if we paid the pop warner kids 20mil and cut that to 15 by high school they wouldnt be as disappointed when they only get 10 in college and then whatever measly wages they would see in the NFL

The really wealthy schools who want to actually invest in their programs will field the best talent, but not necessarily the best team. It still comes down to coaching, identifying and development of talent, etc.., but it sure will be easier for teams that have both. If someone can convince the Stanfords to spend their pocket change on a program, it's wrap. Those high accademic schools with real wealth, not the pretend wealth of top teams now, can bring back the early 1900s when the Ivies were all elite.

If Texas and A@M decide to really go all in they would be untouchable

Why do the media keep bringing up Ohio State $20 million roster, inferring it is the largest salary. NOT SO! Oregon, Texas, Notre Dame have larger salaries, get it right!

Correct…. Harvard is the wealthiest university in the word with a 50 Billion Investment Fund and Texas is Second at 46 Billion….. no one is even close to Texas as far as what they can spend

You guys should let everyone know that Ohio State did not spend the most…..Oregon 24 mil, Texas 22 mil. Stop with the BS of isolating the Buckeyes
