Great move to take the Pressure off Juju not saying Juju won't win the start right away. However it will sharpen him going against an experienced starting QB who went undefeated on the regular season at Liberty. Plus in case injuries and Juju is coming in early after just 3 years of high school

I don’t see how Juju starts over Salter. Could be wrong but a 17 year old true freshman will have an uphill learning curve. Makes more sense to let him sit and learn the college game first. The Mannings said they preferred for Arch to sit before playing, also said sitting early in college should be the blueprint for all QBs. Bad habits can be created if you not properly ready mentally and physically.

Wouldn’t really make sense to allocate funds towards him as a backup, that’s money that could’ve been spent elsewhere. Top QBs in the portal command a certain amount of money

It's just messed up that juju leaves high school early expecting to be a freshman starter in college, But after he commits, they go and get some other guy, and then they're going to sit juju on the bench his entire first year of college. He may as well stayed in high school and broke more records.

@atiam1955 last week it was all about him coming in being their immediate replacement to Shreuder and in all JuJu's interviews it appears that's what he was expecting to happen. But now seems like it won't be like that. Because surely they didn't grab Salter in his last year of football so that he will sit the bench his whole season. It's all good though. But Juju reclassified just to sit the bench an entire season? He could've stayed in highschool...still come out 5 star next season and be recruited to the top college.
