If they were to run it back on a neutral field where the play calling isint simplified like it was and Oregon is actually clicking and rolling like they are now it would be a different result. Week 2 Oregon would have gotten smacked by OSU but the improvements they made have formed them to a top 2 team.

Oregon's average recruit ranking for the 2024 class is relatively close to Georgia and Ohio State. And in the 2025 class, they have the highest average recruit ranking of anyone in the NCAA. They're getting quality now. And btw, their 2026 class is actually beating their 2025 class in average recruit ranking. Although they're 7th in TOTAL recruit rankings, the teams ahead of them have 1-2 recruits and those averages won't hold. Oregon already has 6. And that doesn't even include the portal talent. Oregon's talent is as good as anyone's in the country now. It hasn't been. It is now.

When Mario left the Ducks had a top 10 recruiting class that dropped down to the 50s. Lanning got the class back up into the teens right after he came over from Georgia. Also, quite a few players left. I think I remember that correctly. Too many people think he just adopted a good team when in reality he had to wait until the championship game was over and then scramble to try and salvage what he could. Also, get a coaching staff.

I love that the first drive interception is so down played on a game where every position matters. Take that and it’s 7 points away, add 7 for Oregon on that drive, bc let’s be real, Ohio was dominated! This is a reach, but Dillon looks right, Oregon wins by 20! Ohio had no chance. The s ore doesn’t reflect the absolute beating the ducks put on the bucks! It’s amazing how everyone downplays this performance. Oh, they did good, they played hard, how dare the refs actually call a play right and give someone pass interference when they interfere on a pass! 😂🤣 I’ve watched all Oregon games and all Ohio states game, I prey Boise gets a chance to play Ohio state, so they can beat them as well! The other video they made was them making excuses for Ohio losing when in the 1st quarter it should’ve been an interception but they were making excuses in why the lost sooo funny and now making this video trying to praise Oregon when they criticized them all week,and picked Ohio to win saying they have the wr room when clearly look at our wr room and tight end group,they were hella glazing Ohio state up but don’t do their homework on what we have,just because we are still trying to gel DG with our receivers even with Evan Stewart,they forgot tez Johnson stats from last year and failed to realize we have a top receiver in him…these guys that talk about football don’t do their homework,just because Ohio paid 20 mil for their team doesn’t mean they are the best team out there

They’ve been “for real” the only thing fake are the analysts who think a blow out or a close game in week 1/2 determines how good or bad a team is. Study all the stats or whatever you want but it amazes me how many clearly have never been around any sport and just watch from afar. “Talent” doesn’t equal wins. Look at the struggles of NBA teams who just acquire “talent” and can’t win. You need a team, a program, a vision. And now everyone is assuming a rematch. Ohio State is already overlooking Nebraska’s defense and playing Penn State on the road. They’re not going to be in any conference championship with the attitude they have.

Oregon was down several important pieces that will be back in time for the B1G championship. Having those players back will make up for that game being at a "Neutral Site" However tOSU lost at least one major O-Lineman for the season. That might bite them against Penn St, Indiana or Michigan. I'm not confidant tOSU will make it to the B1G Championship game with those injuries.

As a buckeye fan I feel pretty good about the game. It should have been an easy win and we made it tough. The environment made it even harder. Playing nobody all year hurt us. See ya in the big ten title game for the rematch.

Both are very good teams. Oregon left points on the field Ohio state can clean up some mistakes also. Edge to OSU on talent but not a big edge.

OSU had #1 defense comming in, the best recievers, the better running backs, offensive line, defensive line and secondary. QB's were about even or maybe light advantage to Oregon. That could be debated. And Oregon's best receiver was ejected in the 1st qtr. But overall the OSU squad is rated higher and to be honest its not even close. Came down to coaching as usual. Treveon Henderson had a 8.7 yards per carry and you only give him the ball 10 times. 1:47 left and 1 timeout at your own 25 and only needing a field goal to win it. Game over and still have the timeout in your pocket and don't ever even get a FG try. That final drive/ time was so mis managed. They should have had 3 or 4 more plays if there was more urgency from the get go. Day/ Kelly 2 minute offense very lackluster. Same story year after year. Best team on paper, preseason unanamous favorite but somehow just don't get it done. I think this loss will make them better but you shouldn't need a loss to do that. COACHING MATTERS.

Holden is definitely not Oregon's best receiver. Johnson is followed by Stewart. Heck, Ferguson at TE has more receiving yards than Holden. He's probably Gabriel's fourth target.

Oregon had already built itself to be at a level that the right coach could do what Dan is beginning to do right now. Dan Lanning didn't create Oregon. Lanning has the best support as anyone in the country. Don't overlook that.

The fact is Dan IS "the right coach". Not every coach can recruit to Eugene at the level that he's recruiting at right now. Of course Dan didn't create Oregon. However, he's definitely taken Oregon to another level than what it was before he arrived. Even Dan has said that he has all of the support that he Needs. Which is why he didn't pursue the Alabama job. Who is overlooking that??? Give Dan credit for doing what he has done in the short time that he has been here. Saturday Dan did something that Ryan has struggled to do...WIN THE BIG GAME!

6:40 You recruiting guys are short sighted, and have almost no depth to your hot takes about what Oregon is and was. Oregon had recruiting success for year's. DeAnthony Thomas, Arik Armstrad, Jonathan Stewart, Haloti Ngata, Cameron Colvin. Ect ect.. They hadn't had much depth. 4 stars backing up 4 stars. Mario Cristobal started getting there, but his talent evaluation sucked. For every Kayvon Thibideaux, he'd also go get a Ty Thompson and Justin Flowe. Dan's talent evaluation is much better. Better than you guy's and your bad recruiting rankings! Oregon didn't just come out of nowhere, recruiting nerd.
