Howdy Brother- this is a very informative video. Love how you used your mill to make the different size and shape of your logs. Just ordered a Woodland Mill yesterday and I’m pretty excited about it. I never thought about moving the mill up or down while sawing the log. That is great information. Thank you. Hope all is well with y’all out there. Take care and God bless y’all

We currently reside in northern Florida. We want to construct our own log cabin and have received conflicting information about the proper log species in our area. We’ve even have reached out to various log producers. Keep in mind we have to be concerned about high humidity in which creates mold and concerned about wood boring insects. So that brings us to the KZbin Community to see what opinions are for log species in northern Florida.

I think Cypress or Locust would be very good if you can get it.

I don't know about Florida but here in Montana I have seen log trucks hauling, gotten the name off their door, called them and asked them who owns the logs and if would they sell any.

Just came across your videos. Very nicely done! I would like to ask you... how many trees do you think you used to build this?
