Such a beautiful train, the red makes it look very glamorous ❤ I would definitely like to do that journey. I thought for a while that a sleeper would be a good idea for some journeys, but now, at these prices, I think I'd prefef daytime trips with hotel stays. Thank you for your video 🙋♀️🇬🇧🤗

Thanks! I must agree with that for Italy, the high-spped-trains don't have a big jump in costs from the sleeper trains, so it often just makes sense to buy a ticket for a high-speed train :)

Your train did not stop in Firenze because some express trains skip the station. If you had stopped in firenze you would have had to wait 10 minutes for the train to change directions. They are building a brand new tunnel and a brand new train station (Firenze Belfiore) to avoid the turnaround. Some trains from Milano Centrale to Napoli Centrale actually stop in Milano Rogoredo, Reggio Emilia AV, Bologna Centrale, Firenze SMN, Roma Tiburtina, Roma Termini and Napoli Afragola! I think the trip is 20-30 minutes longer if you ended up on one of those trains

Thanks for clearing up the confusion!

Stopping in RE AV will especially lose you time because it's right on the high-speed trunk, so it requires decelerating and accelerating between full and zero speed. In Italy most cities require the trains to cross the urban area slowly anyways, so stopping is less of a relative time loss. Having express tracks everywhere that allow the train to never slow down at all is how Spain got a distance similar to Milan-Rome to be done in just 2.30 hours for super express trains. Similar deal for Japan where a lot of stations allow full-speed bypasses since the entire system was built from scratch.

I would also like to suggest..clearly...that getting rid of that sound track would be a good move.
