I really hope MotoGP knows what a treasure they have in Simon as a pit reporter. He has become, in my opinion, the best pit reporter in all of motorsports. He gives us insights into the fine details that really matter. Even us long time riders learn new things all the time from Simon. Thank you! So refreshing compared to countless other mindless pit reporters.

Me too. He was pretty clunky the first year, but like many other have stated, he has become the best "insider" pit lane reporter ever. No hyperbole, great insights, see things non-GP riders are just never going to notice. He brings some calm to the storm of silliness coming from Steve and Matt. Love Tech Talks.

@@tellicoadventuretrail Yep, altough old Nick Harris was brilliant behind the mic I think this current trio is the best commentary crew ever. Imagine a MotoGP track day experience: an event for qualified riders held on the Monday after a MotoGP race. Same track, same tires, albeit on non-current factory bikes. Obviously one or more manufacturers would need to participate to have a “full grid”, and the experience wouldn’t be cheap, but the PR value would be immeasurable. Anyone experiencing it would be brought to tears, just like Simon was.
