Just subscribed after being drawn to your vids a few days ago. Love that you don't excessively focus on the seat features, you did briefly show the IFE (could show a little more); best of all - I really enjoy the city views from above, you might want to add to your 2-language remarks from what altitude (ft and m, your US-American viewers and all aviators relate better to feet). The way you portray flights are likely well relate-able to the "regular" public - being in Economy Class, and I appreciate that. My favorite so far and debut to your channel was the vid Lufthansa A350 Arabic speaking Captain Dubai-Munich, which I was introduced to your series with and extremely high quality vid, considering shot from mobile phone. But I also found great value in the Austrian B772 Chicago O'Hare - Vienna Schwechat early morning arrival. This QR flight shines with a "more than reasonable" on-board product: seats with adequate legroom, catering better than average even if it looks "meh"... had a fish sweet-sour on an Emirates night flight New York JFK to Milan-Malpensa last year, under normal circumstances I would never consider choosing such - and was pleasantly surprised by "good food", considering Economy class. A chicken dish on Singapore Airlines Economy between New York JFK and Frankfurt was comparatively much more underwhelming, especially if you prefer to abstain from the high-MSG content sauce served separately... Dining at the reduced air pressure (cruise level outside) - and - inside the cabin, compared to departure or destination elevations during cruise flight, even on a pressurized airliner you tend to lose sense of taste over time so the airlines feed you as soon as practicable after takeoff; catering is usually "enhanced" using salt and glutamates and sometimes after service the heat is turned up to put more of the good folks on board to sleep. You never mentioned (maybe never noticed?) whether you felt better (less fatigued?) after flying on B787 or A350, both new-generation airplanes with improved cabin environmental systems, at reference cruise altitude 41,000 ft (12,500 m) outside, the cabin is pressurized to 6000 ft (2000 m) compared to every other airliner of 8000 ft cabin pressure altitude (2400 m), I felt better after a 9 hour flight on an A350 than the usual services A330/B767/B777 you see deployed on transatlantic flights. Subjectively, do you notice Airbus A380 and A350 especially are quieter compared to Boeing airliners in flight? Appreciate your recounts and I look forward to "joining you" for many flights in the future! - Chris

Amazing video mate!! I love Qatar Airways for their impecable level of service onboard. A few years ago I flew with them from Doha to London and whilst I was on transit, I got the opportunity to really enjoy the airport. It is stunning!! Keep it up!! 😍😍😍

Bread is without butter because this is a local dish. Locals do not eat bread with butter. They eat it with the meal kind of like a rice replacement. Nobody uses butter with rice.

@@rc70ys Not that my opinion matters, but I wouldn't know what to say in such a dispute. There are restrictions on flight meals, so it is not up to every passenger or by majority. They can say this is the meal. If you don't like it tough! What if someone wanted olive oil or cream cheese instead? Should there be a vote? What about salad dressing? I am not sure, but there is no restaurant onboard.

This is where sensitivity to international passengers turn a good airline, into a great one. As rc70ys said, most of the western world enjoy butter with their bread. Although the airline is middle eastern, the destination (Austria) is western, so including butter would not be such a bad thing. Butter with bread is very, very common....olive oil or cream cheese? Not nearly as common, although for sure there are people who will have either of those with bread. So that's not the best argument as far as what to include in an inflight meal. This does remind me of the difference between Japan Airlines and ANA. JAL, while being a good airline, has everything in japanese. ANA on the other hand, is a little more mindful of its worldwide passengers, and include a lot more western content, whether its inflight entertainment or food offering. For that reason, ANA is better. And to be honest, with all the hype of Qatar Airways being the best airline in the world (together with Singapore Airlines), I expected to see more. But this is not 5-star quality, it's 4-star. 5 stars would be Singapore Airlines, EVA, ANA.....

@@tristanhnl I agree with most of what you are saying, but saying that butter should be provided because the destination is Austria isn't a good argument. What about coming from Austria to Qatar? Aren't they the same basic audience? I think the type of meal should decide that. Say if they offered steak on ANA, are they supposed to provide chopsticks? There is no argument that providing more options is better, but this is a commercial airline. They are supposed to be out to make money. Unfortunately, everybody cuts corners for that reason. They give you a lot more choices when you are in first class because you have already paid way too much for it.

Yes, the flight from VIE-DOH *should* include butter as well. Again, it's about being thoughtful towards the target audience of the service provided. In fact, this is very common, my friend. I'm Chinese, but I live in America. On my flights from Hong Kong to New York, the breakfast includes 2 options....Chinese dim sum, OR....a traditional western breakfast with omelette, sausage and hash brown. And the airline is United, an American carrier, who could have just said "we're giving you omelette, and if you don't like it, tough luck". But they do provide a Chinese cuisine offering, which creates goodwill for the customer, and makes them think about booking with that airline again. And this is true for many other airlines. Tons of other airlines give their customers choices, if the origin and destination countries' food/culture is different enough. And you know what, ANA *does* have steak and chopsticks! They'll assume if you eat steak that you're going to want a knife and fork, but if you ask them for a pair of chopsticks, they will give it to you! So how difficult is it to include a tiny sliver of butter? It's a very small gesture, but it tells the customer that the airline is being thoughtful towards them. Having said all that, I want to make myself clear that not having butter is *not* a big deal. What I'm trying to say is only that having butter is a type of gesture that demonstrates that the airline is showing a type of consideration and thoughtfulness. So...I'm still of the opinion that Qatar is not as good as everyone says it is. Singapore and even Emirates is better.

Tive uma experiência com a Qatar aqui na América do Sul: um vôo de Buenos Aires EZE a São Paulo GRU na classe executiva. Perfeito. 🥂 Abraços e Boas Viagens em 2023. Em 2022 não viajei. Finalmente retorno agora numa curta viagem ao Rio de Janeiro, vôo pela Latam LA/JJ de Vitória VIX ao Rio de Janeiro SDU. 🥂

Desde la pandemia del covid se ha convertido en una aerolínea muy cara, ya nada tiene que ver con sus tarifas de antes que en función de calidad precio era top mundial sin duda, ahora es prohibitivo para el bolsillo medio y desorbitado para el bolsillo bajo. Yo volé muchas veces con ellos al indico, sur este de Asia etc y la verdad que jamás tuve un problema y la calidad y atención era fabulosa.

Qatar Airlines are not the only airline to notice paint peeling on the exterior of the fuselages on composite material aircraft; although especially visible on the A350s parked which the vid shows are parked, this peeling happens on the B787 too and the phenomenon is not unique to Qatar Airways. Peeling may be aggravated due to the larger temp differences (if your prevailing OAT is +50C, a typical day in summer in Doha, the aircraft skin may be as high as 90C, then the airplane climbs to -45C...-65C at cruise altitude within apprx. 20 minutes) encountered in Arabia compared to Europe or most of No America. Boeing didn't exactly make it better by stripping the metal layer on all current production 787s originally designed to insulate against lightning strikes. QR is aggressively fighting Airbus in court. Whether the final judgement results in better airplanes is doubtful... and the A350 has its merits, just like the 787 and whatever aircraft came before them. Bottom line: plan on re-surface-ing (not just re-paint) these airframes more frequently than metal airplanes! Cost of doing business...

Another airline blogger who is degenerated to merchandise arabian airlines. These airlines offer the most superb meals, the have the most comfortable seats of all airlines in the world. And so on. Of course Emirates, Qatar Airways can, they don`t pay a cent for aircraft fuel.
