“Once and Awhile” by Andrew Downing

Once in Awhile is a slow, pretty jazz ballad that I wrote and recorded on a classical guitar . It’s apart of my new traditional jazz album, “Finding Ground”. I’m really pleased with the head in this track. The classical guitar delivers rich, vibrant tone that passes for an archtop guitar yet exists in a category all its own. I’m really pleased how this entire album is coming together. I’m really proud of all the hard work I have put in on both the engineering and instrument performance to make this album a possibility. It has been an uphill battle filled with doubt and sadness, sorrow at the thought that the goal is impossible even. It’s one thing to play 1 song and an entire different thing to finish a complete album with really strong music. I hope you enjoy! Please share with your friends if you do!
