The sacrifice and gift of Regina always brings me up to tears. That's the most beautiful proof of love I've ever seen. Letting go of what she desires the most and giving them a happy ending. Oh man I just can't....

So glad that an episode that almost seemed designed to be a series finale wasn't, but it very well could of been should it have needed to be.

Honestly one of my favorite episodes when I saw this for the first time I didn't really look up shows or anything to see if they were coming back and I missed the promo for the next half so I was beyond scared that this was the last episode cause it felt like it

Oh my gosh!!!!! I love this episode!! And it completely tore my heart out and crushed it the first time I watched it when it first aired on TV years ago, just as this episode continues to do so every time I rewatch Going Home. It's so sad and yet so beautiful for so many of our characters we love so much. I know it's upsetting that the creators and writers have chosen to kill off Rumplestiltskin. He's definitely one of my favorite characters, so it breaks my heart too. However, while it is so sad, I can't help but feel that this is a beautiful and perfect ending for Rumplestiltskin. It shows him redeem himself upon being truly selfless for the first time when he sacrifices his life. Not just for Neal and Belle, but for everyone. It's an amazing and one of the most powerful moments throughout the entire show. I love it! Now... one of my absolute favorite moments in this episode is when everyone says their goodbyes, which I will get back to later on. But I will say that I especially love, love, love the moment when Hook says his own goodbye to Emma, as he compliments her vessel and then states lovingly, "There's not a day will go by I won't think of you." So beautiful and again... I love the emotion shown on his face with the tears in his eyes, as well as in Emma's when she listens to him, then responds simply, "Good." I love the way they stare at one another for several seconds before he finally walks away from her feeling disheartened. I love the emotional impact this moment gives me. And between Hook and Neal, I can't help but feel that Emma's chemistry and feelings for Hook are most definitely stronger. Even though she never had chance or the time to work her feelings through for either one of them. It's quite a beautiful moment, as is the entire goodbye scene. But more thoughts on that shortly... Now... I love seeing a brief flashback between Hook and Tinker Bell in Neverland, as well as Smee too of course. And I love how it ties into the present day storyline, as Hook risks his life to try to help his friends capture Pan's shadow, all for Emma. Not for himself or for revenge like he continues to pretend, but all because he loves Emma so much, in spite of him believing that Emma could never love him in return. So sad and so beautiful. I also love how Tink recognizes this about him. I like their friendship, and I would definitely love to see more of their past together. Also... I love how Tink earns her wings and magic back by believing in herself, and I really like the moment with her and Blue when Blue apologizes for losing her belief in her. And I'm happy that Blue is alive again too, because I like her character. While we haven't seen much with her except for mostly in flashbacks... I feel she's a very important character in regards to helping our heroes, as she is the leader of the fairies and she is very powerful. And she means well. I am also happy that she apologizes to Tink for being too strict, and states that Tink has earned her wings back many times over. Next... Pan is so sly and cruel towards both Regina and Rumple, and I love every moment. Robbie Kay is brilliant in the role of Pan and Pan is a phenomenal villain who is easily one of my favorite villains throughout this entire show, outside of Rumplestiltskin, the Evil Queen, and Hook too of course. Although... I absolutely prefer Hook as the hero he's slowly becoming, over him as a villain. Colin O'Donoghue plays both roles brilliantly, but he's stronger as the man he's becoming. And now... Rumple has finally defeated Pan at last, but sadly at the cost of his own life. It's so tragic. I remember screaming at the screen when I first watched this episode. Why?!!!!! Why did they have to kill off Rumplestiltskin?!!! Again... this moment upon sacrificing himself to kill Pan so he could save everyone else is also quite beautiful and heartbreaking. I especially felt for Belle when she collapses and cries out his name upon being forced to watch him die. It's tragic. I also feel badly for Neal, who you can see is hurting upon losing his father even though he holds his own emotion back. You can still see the pain of his loss in his eyes. Next... I also feel so badly for Regina, and everyone else too of course, knowing they all have to return to the Enchanted Forest without Emma and Henry, who now no longer remembers them because of Pan's curse. So sad. Again... why?!!!! But wow that goodbye scene is so, so beautiful and such a tearjerker for me. I ball every time throughout this episode's entire ending. I also love seeing the moment again when Emma is giving birth to Henry... first shown back in this season's premiere episode, The Heart of the Truest Believer, and then seeing her memory change because of Regina's magic as she gives Emma and Henry new memories of their pasts, upon Storybrooke being destroyed. Emma never did actually keep Henry, but as far as she and Henry know and remember, Emma did. Beautiful. So sweet and so sad. And lastly.... Hook's back!!!!! I was screaming at the screen all over again, but this time because I was so happy to see Hook appear in New York to try to convince Emma her family is in danger. Perfect!!! And I am so happy it is Hook over anyone else. But as for Hook kissing Emma... I will surprisingly admit... I really don't care much for this moment. I understand that Hook is trying to give her True Love's Kiss in order to restore her memories and because Hook does truly love her as is revealed to us throughout this episode. But while we know that Hook loves Emma, Emma in no way loves him in return. She never had the chance and time once again, to allow herself to figure out her feelings for Hook or for Neal. So True Love's Kiss wouldn't have worked either way because their love has to work both ways. This moment is just awkward. However, I absolutely appreciate that while this moment is awkward, it does show us that Hook really does love Emma wholeheartedly and truly, given that he hoped his love for her might have been enough to break the curse. I just absolutely love this! :) As for the apparent lack of emotions from our heroes, like many fans feel about this episode's midseason finale ending... I completely disagree with most everyone else. I don't see everyone as emotionless. I feel more like they were really struggling to hold their emotions inside, in order to keep up a brave face for Emma and Henry, as well as for Regina, who is about to make the bigger sacrifice to save them all from being cursed again in Pan's curse. And it's true. You can see a struggle in Mary Margaret's eyes, and in David's. Especially in Mary Margaret's. Just like you can see the struggle in Neal's eyes upon his father's death, and like you can see the pain in Hook's eyes upon him having to watch Emma drive away knowing she won't ever remember him. So, yes... everyone is definitely showing emotions, while they struggle to keep them inside for Emma's, Henry's, and Regina's sake. And in regards to the backstory scenes added throughout this episode, and them all taking away time from what could have been a better battle between our heroes and the Shadow... I really wish this battle could have been longer to make room for more of a fight, and I feel like this episode definitely could have been a two parter in order to add more to everyone's story. However, I really love the added scenes within the backstory, especially between Hook and Tinker Bell in Neverland, given that it explains why Hook is still fighting and standing against Pan and his Shadow... all for love, which in this case, he's in love with Emma. And I really love it. And I love that we get to see Hook's and Tink's first meeting too. I also love the other backstory moments with Snow and Charming, Emma and baby Henry, and with Rumplestiltskin and Belle too. I absolutely love them all. Oh... and as for the moment when Mary Margaret gives Henry the storybook, shown in a backstory scene that takes place months before Henry first brings Emma to Storybrooke... Absolutely beautiful. I love seeing how Mary Margaret comes to give the storybook to him as she talks about how the stories inside the book shares hope and the possibility of a happy ending, and I absolutely seeing Henry immediately begin to believe when he turns to look at Mary Margaret again as she begins to walk away from him... only for him to momentarily see her as Snow White after opening up to the pages sharing hers and Charming's love story. So beautiful and powerful. In regards to how the book came into Mary Margaret's possession and how it comes to be... it's always been told that it appears by magic to someone who needs it most. In this case, it was Mary Margaret and soon to be Henry. Brilliant!!! What's to come is so exciting and I cannot wait for many more reactions from you to come!! Because what's in store is just as good as the first half of the season, if not better. It's near impossible for me to say which season or arcs are the best. There's so much good in all of them. :) So you have lots of good episodes to look forward to. And try not to stay angry with Once Upon a Time for killing off Rumple too long. I think you're really going to continue to love all that's to come too. Just you wait!! I can't wait for more of your reactions for Once Upon a Time!!! And the next episode is another of my favorites from this season as well. :) I'm so excited! Thank you again, so much! Until next time...

I recently started watching Once Upon A Time because so many youtubers were reacting to it. I am on Season 1 Episode 20. The first few episodes really hooked me with amazing writing and great characters. I'm a fan of this channel for Buffy/Angel/Flash reactions. I discovered Buffy and Angel many years ago in 2004 when they were on re-runs. I discovered The Flash just this year! My only question is: when are we going to see the Three Little Pigs, Robin Hood, Goldilocks and The Three Bears, and Aladdin? I guess I've already seen characters from many Disney movies about fairy tales.

And with that you have come to an end to season 3A for all the issues I had with this season it was heartbreaking you know there is more but the goodbye was well done and it hit you right in the feels the evident of how much Rumple and Regina changed by their respective sacrifices were well done. By altering the curse everyone is saved but the cost is separation. Brace your self 3B is a hell of a ride.

the ONLY thing I didn't like about the partway season finale was the fact that Regina didn't have Neil/Balfire go with Emma and Henry. he wasn't part of the curse, he totally could have gone with. oh well. still gets me in the feels everytime I've watched this episode. and the guy that played Peter Pan was excellent! so I understand lol. also I love that the "boy will be Rumple's undoing' ended up not being Henry, but Peter Pan was his undoing all along. kinda like the callback to what Rumple told Henry about his visions of the future being puzzle pieces and that the future is never as it seems and never what you think. ( also, I understand why he thought it was Henry because of how he PHYSICALLY brought him back to his son, BUT dealing with Peter Pan was what really brought Bae close to Rumple again. Peter Pan was his undoing all along. )

The curse automatically hits everyone born in the other realm. Doesn't matter whether they were hit by it originally or not. It sucks everyone back to where they came from. Remember, Hook was sheltered from the curse the first time to. Emma is only exempt because of her Savior status, otherwise she'd be sucked back too. Yes, this means pinnochio was also sucked back.

@@catwhowalksbyhimself I guess you're right. I just thought since she was able to do that for Emma, despite her being born elsewhere, I figured since Neil/Baelfire would be an exception too, considering he's Henry's dad. Regina was the one tomake Emma stay behind, that's what I've always took that as, so Henry wouldn't be alone. I just wish he would have been able to and also maybe it would have meant he'd be safe from upcoming events. ( Aftershow Reacts is long past what I'm hinting at so I think it means its not really spoiler, but I left it vague just incase for other people new to watching. I ad come back to watching her reactions to OUAT since I never finished and I forgot how she reacted to the first half of the show, is why my comment is much later lol )

This is the best episode in all 7 seasons of the show, in my opinion. And it would have been a perfect series finale. I like a lot of what came after this, but the show never felt as cohesive, honest, emotional, and real as it did in the first 2 and a half seasons, not for me, at least. The best of the best.

what pisses me off in this episode is that nobody asked Belle how was she doing when Rumple died but Snow asked Regina. like the heck? Ask Rumple's gf pls And I don't like Hook at all, especially his feelings to Emma so I was really disappointed that he was in New York But overall it was an awesome episode and I love it! Though for me it went downhill from there, seasons 1, 2 and 3a were great but it got worse after that (except for season 7. Season 7 was AMAZING). Can't wait to see your reactions to OUAT in Wonderland, i love this show so much!

@@mibarbosa5075 Season 7 is the most entertaining the show had been in a while; it also made the least sense. It was very frustrating but at least I was excited for new episodes, which Season 6 didn't really deliver on. I still wish the show had ended after Season 6 though. Would have been perfect (maybe not as perfect as this episode).

Its funny how many "good series finales" this show had. Its almost like Buffy, but I was not to invested at the time to now if they was always with the risk of being canceled or if it was just the way directors thought this is what the show ought had to be. I know this one was not, because they still had a entire half of a season to go, but it always keep me wondering. Also, I would like to ad, sorry if my english is poor, that is definetly not my mother tong, as I am from Brasil.
