Emma’s secret, to me, meant that she was ready to put Neal in the past. She shouts Hook’s name in the next episode (or 2) when they’re in Dark Hallow. Hook didn’t even say anything, she just saw him in pain. (Neal was the one that shouted out to her, but she didn’t respond to him.) When they get back to SB, she doesn’t want to date Neal, her parents push her into it, and even on the way to Granny’s, when David brings her there, she gets jealous of the possibility of Hook and Tink being together (writers confirmed that). She was starting to fall for Hook and really put/was starting to put Neal in the past, her secret was she was ready to say goodbye to him

This was one of my favourite moments between Emma and Neal in 3x06: FROM THE MOMENT I SAW YOU IN NEW YORK IN INSTINCT YOU STUCK BACK IN MY LIFE I KNEW I NEVER STOPPED LOVING YOU BEFORE I EVEN HAD A CHANCE TO TAKE A BREATH I LOST YOU ONCE MORE AND ALL THAT PAIN THAT I HAD PUSHED DOWN FOR ALL THOSE YEARS IT JUST CAME RUSHING BACK I DIDN’T KNOW IF I COULD GO THROUGH IT AGAIN I LOVE YOU AND I PROBABLY ALWAYS WILL BUT MY SECRET IS THAT I WAS HOPING THAT THIS WAS A TRICK I WAS HOPING YOU’RE DEAD BECAUSE IT BE EASIER FOR ME TO PUT YOU BEHIND ME THEN TO FACE ALL THE PAIN THAT WE WENT THROUGH ALL OVER AGAIN

Is it really that hard for you to imagine how incredibly terrifying it is to possibly have to lose them again and go through that pain AGAIN? She said what she said because she loved him so incredibly much, not because she hated him...

What David revealed is that his father’s murderer did not save him at all. The water wasn’t even a cure. It only cursed him. All proving that his life was never truly saved. Soon Charming will have a real savior to save and cure him, Rumpelstiltskin, and it’s not the villain behind both former shepherd’s dramas.

They already said earlier that Hook kissing Emma wouldn’t have counted if that was Hook’s secret since Snow already knew. So why did David’s secret count if Hook already knew?
