If drilling a hole in a wall just get an envelope, stick it to the wall with masking tape underneath where you’re drilling and let the envelope catch the dust. No plastic bottles or vices needed. 😊

Cutting the first bottle was a bit dangerous as you were cutting towards yourself... One slip and that knife would do some serious damage. I would hate for that to happen to anyone. The milk jug separator wi a brilliant idea and I have a 5-gallon pail that is FULL to the rib with nuts bolts washers screws and such; this is ideal for what I would need to separate them. I cannot even move the bucket as it is just too heavy for even 2 men to lift... Thank you for some great ideas!

@@EmpathyStories86 Not tried it yet as I have other projects that need to be finished and moved out of the space where the 5-gallon metal pail is. It probably weighs a hundred pounds or more. I cannot move it alone!! I also do not drink milk so getting the milk container would be only possible on recycle day.

Excellent project. Thanks for sharing - a great way to keep all those plastic water bottles out of the wastestream and threatening out previous sustaibnable resources. A favorite kitchen hack of mine is to poke holes in a plastic kitchen garbage can bag. That way that bag doesn't get all puffy when you add items - which of course means fewer plastic kitchen bags also enter the wastestream Works every time.

This has to be the silliest video I've watched which is really a comment on how much time I waste watching videoes. Although a little in my defense, I did fast forward. :-) Not only are the methods silly, like putting the black mark on the lid and dangerously cutting the plastic with the blade towards you, but almost no one is going to do it. It would take more work to do this then the problems they solve. Think about these uses. The first will stop wood dust from falling on the floor. Not only would some likely still fall so you'll have to clean it up anyway but how often are you so casually drilling holes? Usually you are trying to be accurate and you'd be cursing something between you and the place you're drilling? The second item is basically making a tray to go over a try. What? Normally people just dump the mixed items into any tray and pick out the items you want separate. This second use is basically saving you the quarter second difference between the time it takes to pick up the item and put it in the container v.s. sliding the item across the tray to the hole. Finally if you believe the title, it is so amazing that you'll never throw plastic bottles away again so I guess you'll just keep making hundreds or thousands of these. Give them away to every person you know for Xmas, BDay, office gift exchanges., anniversary gifts etc. Better off to use as few plastic bottles or plastic anything that you can.
