Oncotype DX Test for Breast Cancer: How it Differs from Tumor DNA Sequencing and Why it's Used 👀

The Oncotype DX test is a commonly used assay in cancer agencies for breast cancer patients with a certain type of breast cancer and stage. Many patients believe that if they’ve had this test they’ve had tumour DNA sequencing and know all of their treatment options. However, this is not so - not by a long shot.
Precision Oncology specialist, Alex Rolland, discusses the Oncotype DX test: how it works, what it actually tells your doctor, what treatment options it helps match you to, and how it differs from tumor DNA sequencing. He also explains the results of the TAILORx trial and why so many patients are confused about this test in general.
