Dubai experienced unprecedented rainfall on Tuesday, causing widespread chaos.
Schools were shut down, flights were cancelled, and cars had to be abandoned.
The country -faced 14cm (5.6 inches) of rain, leaving much of the city underwater.
Some have speculated that the heavy rain might have been triggered by "cloud seeding”.
But what is cloud seeding?
Cloud seeding is a method where existing clouds are manipulated to produce more rainfall.
Aircraft release small particles into clouds, aiding the condensation of water vapour and resulting in increased rainfall.
Most operations use a compound called silver iodide, which exists naturally in the environment and has no known harmful effects.

It is decades of experience, just some countries are ahead of others, and yes it is a good thig - it works on small scale local levels and protects important crop fields. Dubai is recent adopter of the technology and pioneering using drones instead of rockets and planes i beleave.

😢True. I actually had no idea. Most of the news We get of Middle East is mostly about either Israel, Palestine and Dubai🤷🏾‍♀️ I guess sometimes we overlook the other middle-eastern countries , like I’ve never heard any news about Kuwait for example 😒. But this is a wake up call to be more intentional as well, I’ve never thought much about the others until now. Thanks for bringing this to our knowledge
