I hope Michelle is getting over the pains from her accident. My beloved 1965 Coronet 440 had a 4 speed. The 4 speed seemed to be bullet proof. If practical, swapping in a 4 speed might solve a lot of transmission problems. That car is going to be a fun ride for the winner!

Copper Coat works amazing on header gaskets. Clean the cylinder head and header really well. Put a heavy coat on each and put some on the header gasket. Then tighten the header bolts nice and snug. Wait 24 hours and it should seal nicely. It saved me a couple times.

Are you certain that you don't have too much trans fluid in it? They will leak out of the front overflow until the level is correct. It happens a lot when you check it in park instead of neutral.
@scubasteve7946

Yeah, I don't think they had it idling when filling it up, but the mopar always has to be in neutral and running to check trans level. Good suggestion.

If it was me I would run it until it's warm and check it properly and make sure that's not the case before pulling the tranny again. Because you are 100% correct 727 will leak out until it's happy if it's overfilled.

Michelle! If you're still doing the editing you have become really really good. I like how you spend a little time showing what your kids do around the shop. Families are everything. 🙂 Also the map that you had pop up that shows the distance Paul has to go to get parts was really helpful and entertaining. I'm a long time Colorado guy and we visit Utah a lot. It's simply a great state just like Colorado. But I don't know how far Paul has to go for parts, so the map feature you added was pretty darn cool. Keep up the great work guys! Love your channel!

@mikeroup2721
@mikeroup2721 2 жыл бұрын
True enough. I used studs and good gaskets on my 440 so I didn't have to redo them afterwards. Can't just drop in a gasket from above with the studs but never had a leak. My early BMW (320i) has exhaust bolts opening into the oil passage! What fun to find out the former owner used bolts instead of studs. My car caught on fire shortly after the front bolt vibrated loose. Was 300 miles from home and had to drive it back. Bought a fire extinguisher for the trip. Caught on fire once more on the way home. I started pulling over every 50 miles to retighten. Changed over to studs the next day. Good Times!

I am hoping Michelle is recovering well. I know all about doing it twice, thrice, or more. It is great that Paul has the demeanor that he does, otherwise we might see wrenches flying! I'm really pumped about this giveaway! As a Mopar guy, it would go well with my 60's,70's and 80's Dodge trucks! Keep at it with the family involved. It will never be a regret!

Header gaskets. I made my own that have never blown out 10+years later. I used the regular cardboard-ish grey gaskets that came with the hooker headers, I coated them in copper rtv and laminated both sides in a thick tinfoil from a restaurant. Layed books on them while setting up. Super solid.

That’s the same stuff barbers use to stop bleeding after a nick on a shave. Clubman styptic pencils are the best. Great video.

Paul reminds me of my uncle Paul. He owns Anderson Junction up in Moroni. They both talk the same, work the same and hate Mopar the same. I love your videos. You guys and gals do a great job. Keep up the good work.

Keep at it. I’m sure that transmission is frustrating but you will get it. I hope Michelle is feeling good and not too sore from that crash.
