Can you advise whether there are any Australian stockists and if not, how I might purchase online for delivery to Australia? Thank you so much 😃 Sharyn

Great review. Thank you for being honest about the ingredients. I have worn my hair curly since elementary school, but I have just in the last several months abandoned regular sulfates and silicones. Finding products that my hair likes has been quite the challenge!

After watching your review and one other glowing review of these products, I went to Sally's and bought them. I tried them today, and my curls have never looked as nice as they do after using the conditioner and gel. I have always used Deva Curl gel, but I am switching to this one. It works just as well or better, and it is one third the price. Sally's didn't have the curl cream in stock, so I ordered it on line today. I cannot wait to try it. I hope it is as good as Deva Curl Super Cream. Thank you for this helpful review! Using this line should save me a ton of money henceforth.

FANTASTIC review!! I'm so glad you explained the isopropyl alcohol so well! I tried to explain it in a CGM site and some were less than kind 😉 I have also never liked a cream and whatever magic they used to make this cream is AMAZING!! My hair is super soft and moisturized but in a good way❤ I can't wait to try the High Def Gel!

Yeah, they can get a bit rough about stuff too much, if you deviate a little. I was roughed up over using baby shampoo, that had a sulfate, but I later ordered the new Johnson's that has no sulfates.

@melindaj44235 жыл бұрын
Yeah, even after I said I ordered the Johnsons without sulfates, they said I need to find a shampoo that meets the needs more for my hair. I said I have a budget, and they said well, this brand is $10 a bottle and then you can get sales that you get a secone for 50% off , and then there is cantu, which is cheap. Well, I ordered 2 Johnsons baby shampoo, that is CG approved, like over 27 ounce bottles and paid around $12 for both. This ie closer to our budget and I have been using baby shampoo for awhile and it works. So, you can't win, it seems, in those forums. So I averaged $6 for 27 ounce ish bottles and that is the most we can do with our budget.

@@melindaj4423 - sounds like jealousy talking. I know there's curly heads over seas that are ecstatic to get Suave coconut conditioner, and it's just $2 a bottle at Wal-Mart! Snots are gonna be snots no matter what. Don't let them get to you. I'm glad you found something that works for you! 🤗🤗🤗

Such a great review. I bought the Soft Defining Gel because of the protein and the Foam. I used them together yesterday, foam first, gel on top. And then I Smastered with the gel. Initially my results were good, lots of volume and definition. As the day went by, I had unbelievable frizz and my hair felt like straw. I'm guessing too much protein. As you say, good products, applied poorly, don't give good results. Today I've used a bit more restraint, just used the gel and then plopped and used my regular gel, Aussie Instant Freeze to Smasters with. So far my definition and volume are beautiful. We'll see what the afternoon brings. For reference I have short wavy/curly, 2C/3A, fine, low density hair. I'm thinking now that the high Def gel might suit me better or a mix of the 2.

Thank you SO much for this review, this changed everything for my hair! I picked up some of the curl cream and the high definition gel on your recommendation (I wanted to get the all in one mini kit to try out everything but they didn't have it at the sally's I went to) and HOLY COW. This stuff changed my hair game entirely. I used my normal low-poo from shea naturals and the suave conditioner, then followed up with the curl cream and gel. It's just...magic. I've never had this much definition in my curls. I basically went from 2C with a couple 3A, to mostly 3A with a little 2C. I had a Little bit of crunch from the gel but barely at all really, especially compared to the Aussie gel I had been using. Plus, little to no frizz when I was scrunching it out, whereas I used to get tons of frizz before. I don't know what kind of witchcraft they've done to make this stuff so great, but these two are my new ride or die holy grails. I'm gonna have to try out the rest of their line now, there's no way I could pass up the rest of the line if these two are That good. Thank you again, Courtney! I would have never known about this stuff if I hadn't seen your video on it.

I need to use up the products I have, but this brand is definitely on the list to try out! I have found that if your hair is properly and fully moisturized (that cream!), then glycerin can't draw any more moisture to the hair. You could try experimenting with the cream and a different gel with glycerin to see if that holds up. And unrelated, you inspired me to go back to smoothies for breakfast. Hemp milk, PB powder, my leftover collagen peptides for protein, and spinach (with a fruit). After going through a phase where I was using sweetened protein powder, I found out I'm allergic to all zero calorie sweeteners, even the natural ones. So I stopped doing smoothies. But I've cut out a lot of sweet foods from my diet recently, and now I find I don't need it.

My hair is kinda like yours methinks and almost all Devacurl products are tree nut oil free, so it would be great to know what works for you. No rush though, after misunderstanding my hair for almost an entire year I snapped in the recent heatwave and cut all my hair off, all of it, buzz cut, it'll take a while to grow back, but it's great fun and so liberating.

Is there a leave in conditioner in the line? Can a small amount of the regular conditioner be used as a leave in? I’ve tried the gel and love it. Id love to be able to use only one brand for everything.

Hey!! How do you feel about isopropyl alcohol in conditioners and hair products!??

I bought the starter kit and used it; I liked the results. My question is how often should I use this; also how much do I use. The length of my hair is near to my waist. I believe I have type 2a-2b hair. I get tiny ringlets as well as waves. when I brush or comb my hair it falls out. How do I take care of it in between washing.

Bennie Maine oh goodness this is a tricky question because everyone’s hair is sooo different. My sisters has is much longer than mine. You might check out the videos I’ve done styling her hair for a starting point on how much product to use. And she goes 3-4 without washing her hair. I personally am washing my hair every 2-3 days otherwise my scalp gives my fits! Haha

@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Thanks for the reply so quick. I used my grandbabies baby shampoo and got the same results with all about curls; except that my hair goes straight after a while. My hair is always been on the frizzy side. I hate to be a bother, I also tend to get split ends. I will watch your video. If there chatty and not informative I will avoid, LOL

Can anyone please tell me how long the "your order is ready for pick up at the store" comes after you've put the order through online? I'm in the UK and am trying to work out if I can time the Black Friday/Cyber Monday deal with picking this up. As I land on the 5th December. I know Target and Wal Mart only hold the order for 7 days then they cancel the order 😣. Does anyone know what type of deals happen on black Friday/Cyber Monday happen? Would be great if it's the show stopping buy one get one free?! It would be worth going to the US for alone! Not sure my husband wants to hear such things, he's already fed up of hearing about my hair and the cgm! Thanks Y'all (I've always wanted to say that) or TTFN as we say over here (ta ta for now 😄)

i have low porosity hair and i've been using (for all my washes) the no-leather one, though i think it might be a little harsh and should combine it with the lo-leather? what do you think?

The only way I can apply products to my hair without ruining my clumps is with an open palm! Thank you so much for that tip, you're the bee's knees!

Any idea why the Zotos foam is not CGM approved on Curlsbot?

Hi Courtney! I have a full bottle of the DC wave maker and I DO NOT like the way it makes my hair feel. It makes it feel very rough and almost dirty/waxy like. Would you compare the Zotos cream to the wave maker?
@SwavyCurlyCourtney5 жыл бұрын
Oh man! the DC cream did the EXACT same thing to my hair...I really didn't like it at all! It is the reason I hated creams for so long. No the Zotos cream is NOTHING like the wave maker. The Zotos cream is lovely! It is concentrated, and using too much will make your hair feel a tad producty. But using a small amount is amazin!

Hi Courtney Have you ever tried LUS products? And what do you think about them and how do they compare?

Not yet! I really want to try the Lus Products though. They are definitely on my radar!

@@SwavyCurlyCourtney Thank you for getting back to me so quickly! So far so good on the LUS. I'm also just starting out with this new journey. I have had curly hair for years! And I've totally embraced it. But new to all the CGM.
