Did you know you can play a full Spanish Guitar Chord progression with just ONE chord shape?
⚡️ I love showing this to beginners so that they can feel like they’re playing a chord progression sooner than later, and not have to wait until they can play full barre chords.
💡 This way you don’t have to get stuck on one chord or overthink about the left hand while you’re learning new techniques with the right hand. It’s all about focusing in on one thing at a time in the beginning and not multitasking your brain with too much overload, so that you learn and grow with correct execution and form. (Not just go through the motions) This allows you to do that, while enjoying the musicality it adds.

This Spanish cadence is hypnotic and doesn’t get old. Plus when you start adding little embellishments and variations, the possibilities are endless… 😉

When i started learning flamenco, that was how i started. Taking that E shape and going everywhere with it😂 But later on, I learned how to play The F chord Flamenco (the one where you press with your index on the 6th string 1st fret) and the G chord flamenco (the one where you press on 3rd fret 6th string and 2nd fret 5th string) and then started learning solea from there. Nice lesson. Keep it up!

Awesome, there’s no shame with keeping it simple at the beginning. 👌🏼 And that’s perfect, the next step that I typically show are the non barre chord flamenco variations, and lastly the full barre chord standard versions. So that’s for sharing… and keep the progress going 👍🏼
