I have seen that popular video of Amin that’s on KZbin. He does a blend of some of the Spanish guitar techniques and also does some techniques that he personalized to his style of playing. His strumming is based on rumba patterns, but he throws rasgueados inside the rumba rhythms, which is very typical to do, once your comfortable with the basic patterns. I can do a video in the future of how to add embellishments to the basic pattern and also other rumba patterns. The one from this video is a good starting point. If you feel comfortable with it, start mixing in some abanico to experiment.

Awesome video thanks! Is there any easy song/chord progression you can recommend practicing the strum pattern with?
@DavidChiriboga4 жыл бұрын
Thanks! And sure, I did a series on typical chord flamenco chord progressions which you can practice with. If you’re already familiar with those chords, and can transition quickly, you can practice playing along with a popular rumba song like Galaxia, from Gipsy Kings, which is only 4 chords(in Emin) or Entre Dos Aguas by Paco de Lucia. kzbin.info/aero/PLBn64fKg_mHSSd9C1Ie3MIhD5-35wMJK2
