One Country, Two Rulers

Each year the Handel House Museum, in collaboration and with support from the London Handel Festival, work with one school on an opera project. This project provides a school with a snapshot or taster of the full experience of composing, staging and putting on an opera.
Pupils have the opportunity to attend a Dress rehearsal opera performance as part of the London Handel Festival and produce their own mini opera through a series of workshops both at the museum and their school along side Handel House Composer-in-Residence, culminating in their own mini opera performance.
Year 5 Students of St Saviour's C of E Primary School created 'One Country, Two Rulers' which was inspired by the London Handel Festival opera 'Riccardo Primo' in 2012.
