2.0 version . . . solar powered, water turbine, wind kite with a power bank to drive 4 omni thrusters and a nose slip to but the boat into for push . . . then you have yourself covered . . . a method to secure and deliver the float and the means to provide fine tuned maneuverability and station keeping :) you can also probably find regular dock and line floats set for decommission and patch them up to use for free as they typically have to pay for disposal for them (they have to be repurposed or recycled and it's not cheap) and the majority can be repaired / used for a long time still they just have issues or look problems :) and start setting up laminated building . . . fiber cloth epoxy laminated wood is not only water, rot, rust resistant but stronger and lighter also handles flame a smidge better than rough cut. . . then you can go full water world and build up more with structure and do things like over hang and water decks . . . . not to mention hang'n over the water in a hammock with a drop net below sleep'n rocks dude, 150% trust me :) just make sure you get a big skeeter net and wrap yourself in it :)
@GreyFox233 жыл бұрын
You could try like a sidecar idea for a boat to fit in. Like on the starboard or port side you can build out an extension with a cutout for the bow of a boat to settle in. Not only will it serve as a dock for your boat but instead of just dragging the raft/float the boat has something to push against for hopefully more control and better transfer of energy.

The usual procedure to have a floating platform with containers floaters is to fill the containers with a kind of styrofoam that is sold on hardware stores for that purpose. It's liquid and it expands in contact with the air and makes the inside of the containers totally water-proof.

That is where the 55 gallon barrels would be an advantage. Not free, but usually $10-15. That is the cost of two totes, but each tote is what, 15gal/60qt. Twice as much boyancy for the price and a LOT more durable. But, this is the "every person's raft" that can be built from off the shelf components, so that is cool too.

Actually the staples of survival are pretty rigid. 3, 3, 3: you can survive about 3 hours in a harsh environment without shelter, you can survive about 3 days without water, and you can survive about 3 weeks without food. How you accomplish it, absolutely, creativity is essential, but practicality DEFINITELY has a purpose in individual survival, even if it's simple stuff like knowing how to sacrifice a shoestring to make a bow drill for starting fire (or just keep a lighter on you)
