Hello from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania! Pittsburgh is hands down one of our favorite larger cities in the United States. With three rivers, 446 bridges (the most in the world!), historic buildings, and gorgeous green hills all around, it's so dang picturesque. And while we have been to the city before (for Adam, many times), this was our first time truly exploring the city together, so we spent one day doing as many touristy things as possible!

If you ever go back to Pittsburgh, you have to check out Pennsylvania Macaroni Factory. Also great place to get sushi is called Penn Ave. Fish Company. Also you have to try Burgatory. They have alcoholic milkshakes that to die for

I've lived in Pittsburgh for 20 yeahs now and worked at the Strip District primantis for a few years. Even I say it wrong sometimes. For people to genuinely get on you about saying the name of our horrible sandwiches incorrectly...well, I'd like to say it's not representative of the people here, but... Yeah. Sounds about right. Sorry bout that.

So excited that you stopped through Pittsburgh! It is absolutely one of the US's most underrated cities. There is so much beauty and history all in one spot. Also glad to see you went to the original Primanti Bros in the Strip. My mom grew up going there with her aunt during the 60s when it was super grimy and full of factory workers! I would love to see you go to the allegheny mountain area of PA sometime. Super similar to West Virginia in terms of outdoorsy fun, but also full of its own unique history. Especially if you like railroads!

That was fun to watch! My husband and I grew up in the area! (When we got married, we moved to Ohio for his job). During Spring Break one year, I took my 3 kids to Pittsburgh to have some fun. (We’d return for the holidays but we never had time to do much during the holidays but visit with family). We stayed with Grandma and did the incline and Station Square. At the time, a ball player with the Pirates owned a restaurant in Station Square so that was pretty cool to him to go there for lunch. I worked in McKees Rocks area for a summer (long time ago) and would buy pirogies at any number of churches; they would all sell them on Fridays and there was a church on every block because each nationality had their own church. When we moved to Canton, OH (we’re in Columbus now) and I would talk about pierogis, nobody was familiar with them! LOL. I was not familiar with Randyland! Looks like I’ll have to take a trip back to PA; grab my high school friend and get back to the strip district and then do Randyland! Downtown Pittsburgh sure looked nice; you had a great weather day! I do love the “3 rivers”!

I would recommend: Andy Warhol Museum (Yes, he's from there.), Real Hoagies (Giorgio's on Western Avenue ask for an Arnold Palmer they make the best) and Tourist Hoagies (Peppis), Breakfast (Pamela's Diner (crepe style pancakes)) and also DeLucas (You gotta get up early and there will be a line, but it will be worth it), Sushi from Andys at Wholey's in the Strip (He's been there since the 80s and will talk your head off if he doesn't have a line.), sweet spot for history buffs Carrie Furnaces (on the drive you'll see the peaks of Kennywood.) I could go on and on.

I (Adam) have family there and would go up every few years as well in the 90s. I remember going to baseball games at Three Rivers Park, PNC, doing the boat tour on the rivers, riding the inclines, probably went to the children's museum too. Love PGH!

So glad this video popped up as a recommendation. I am from Pittsburgh and you showed our fair city amazingly! There is so much rich history and culture here. I loved you were on the NorthSide at Randyland. The sights and shots were great. Great food experience, next time you are here you should visit Oakland, Shadyside or Lawerenceville for some other great food finds!

Thanks for the ride up the incline. When I was there working on one of the 3 rivers bridges we didn't have time to sight see. We could see the incline but ... lol Lots have changed ... Glad you enjoyed Pittsburgh so much. I think it is overlooked quite often. It is such a picturesque city and has a great skyline to photograph plus many unique features and it’s own dialect. I lived in Pittsburgh for close to 11 years before moving down to Raleigh about 5 years ago. I miss the city but not the region. When we had family and friends visit, we would always take them to ride the incline up to Mt. Washington and show them the skyline at night. Can’t beat it. Your shot at 0:58 is the Gulf Tower. I worked in that building for several years. Also worked downtown closer to the Point and walked through Point State Park everyday on the way to and from my car. Not so fun in the winter, especially walking across the bridge. Glad you enjoyed Primanti’s, never got into myself.

I actually work right across the street from that P-Bros. It's my favorite of their locations, one of the only places to get food 24/7 in the city. But the real story as to why they put everything on the sandwich was the men who were up 20 stories working on these buildings needed a free hand. So the owner started putting it all on one sandwich and basically did their own Pittsburgh version of a gyro so it could be eaten with only one hand. So basically the same thing, but it was to solve a problem for the local workers. Gotta say though, I've lived here for a decade and I've never been to Randyland lol I guess it's cuz it's right there, i don't feel the need to go right away lol
