Great video, simple and to the point. So many of these folks doing tractor repair videos on KZbin think they’re comics and it’s painful to watch.😂 while others seem to just do it for therapy and talk about all the wood they have to split and everything else going on in their life. Also painful to watch.😂

Followed you instructions, all is fine except same throttle control problem as you had at end of video. Did you ever figure out what problem was?

Hi, glad it's working for you. Honestly, I have not spent the time to figure that out yet, but the thing runs great at the RPM it's running at and I have been cutting grass and towing the lawn trailer ever since, so I just left it alone. I will look at it one of these days.

Possibly your air/fuel ratio. Adjust the air down half turn

Hi That’s the model number ? For the new one you please it with and who did your punch it from on Amazon? Allan p

Had the same problem with a Craftsman snowblower. The carb was old and you just kept breaking off screws trying to rebuild it. Ordered a replacement carb from Amazon ( 2 day turn around time) and in an hour was blowing snow. Going to order one for my John Deere Briggs and Stratton 44 next week. In a half an hour I'll be mowing grass. I'm done trying to find parts to rebuild old carbs. The one for the snowblower was like $25.00 and the one for the John Deere is about $35.00. Must be a 1000 videos on how to change them out on KZbin...just got to look.

Did you ever figure out why throttle speed wouldn’t change. I have same exact issue starts right up but cant speed up or slow up rpm
@jessebrown64162 жыл бұрын
I’m having the same problem
@shumanatorsgarage89212 жыл бұрын
No I honestly havent played with that yet. Things been running good and at a good enough speed that I just left well enough alone. It does adjust a little with the throttle lever, just doesnt go as high rpm as could. I have heard that the mixture screws can affect it. Still starts right up and runs great though. I use stabilizer in all my fuel now too.

Hi, can u let me know why d throttle was not working because I'm having d same problem whenI changed carburetor, idle to high throttle not working
@shumanatorsgarage89215 күн бұрын
I dont have the answer for you. From what I have heard, those mixture screws have an impact on that. Be sure your linkages and springs are correct and not binding up on anything. I never ended up doing any additional adjustment on mine and has been running great ever since! I have a little speed adjustment with throttle lever, been good enough.

Looks like there may be some Idling and rpm issues?Read the orifice sizes can be a problem with aftermarkets which I am trying to avoid

Did you figure out what cause rpm not to change ?
@shumanatorsgarage8921 Жыл бұрын
No I never messed with it. Runs good though, been using it as is ever since.

Looks like you forgot to attach the throttle linkage. I can see when you are moving the throttle, the linkage is doing nothing. I'm sure you have since figured this out as this video was made 4 years ago. Thank you for the vidoe.

Thanks, actually never did anything else with it. Still running great to this day though!

Great video. Do you have a video on how to remove the LA115 carb? I’ve done a few small engine and I’m ready to move up. My JD has been parked for a “while” and it cranks but doesn’t run. Got a replacement fuel pump, filter and carb kit from JD. thanks!
@shumanatorsgarage89213 жыл бұрын
Thanks! No I did not do a video on the removal.

had the same problem. Could buy a rebuild kit for 8 bucks on ebay or a new one for 15. just order the new one and save a lot of trouble.

The plastic "spring tool" and "cable clamp" are for installing a choke set-up. Seriously... and I'm looking for folks that have actually used them. NEXT! lol

Whoever at the factory tighten those bowl screws need to be told it's inch lbs not foot lbs!! I gave up after almost stripping the slots and bought a new carb.
