Marks are a rare addition that any Pokémon can have. So today I'm going to be trying to find and catch as many marked SHINY Pokémon as I possibly can in ONE DAY! That's 24 hours to catch marked shinies! Over 50 shinies caught in such a short amount of time!

I've never understood the indignation over shinies being 'too accessible', I, for one, am elated that I no longer have to spend months at a time trying to get a single shiny.

I think it’s because people think that shinies being “too accessible” deletes the rarity of like the older games being extremely rare; but like you said, at least they’re more accessible to the general public and we don’t waste hours soft locking for one Pokemon.

i think there's for sure a happy medium. legends arceus made shinies way too easy to obtain with its rates, for example. they need to be easier to get, while still not invalidating the effort others might have spent. scarlet and violet get a little closer to that, i think

In my first play through of sword, It took 45 hours. I encountered thousands of Pokémon and not one shiny. In my violet play through, I spent 30 hours and found 26 different shinies

I don't really get luck with shiny odds. My first shiny in violet is camerupt after 100 hours

The thing is shinies can still be hunted in old games plus shinies with different region marks are still cool. Always hunt in a way that makes you happy!

1:26 This happens to Poltchageist in the evening too. Day and Night is fine, but during the one minute or so it's evening, they stop spawning altogether.

I think Drilbur outbreak disappeared because moles don't like sunlight. It appened to me too. Maybe Serebii doesn't mention it because Drilbur can still spawn in cave during daytime. Anyway, happy birthday! 🎉

As someone who spent way too long finding an outbreak for Feebas on Teal Masks release, and then another way too long getting a good mark on it, while [specifically] going for a female Feebas. That Smeargle section brings me so much pain.

The sociable title is really disappointing always but it fits some of the mons like exeggute line or hydrapple. Time of day marks are also meh and you were able to find a use for one of them so congrats. I did attempt on dusk mark dusk lycanrock without outbreak and got it first try as well. Mark hunts are fun but I take all personality marks and not do the specific ones, it’s interesting to think of a Mon to have different personality than it looks, e.g. I have Blaziken the Serene or Rillaboom the teary-eyed.

Actually it’s a thing you can buy in the 2nd part of the DLC. It costs some Blueberry points(if you don’t know then you have to play the DLC to understand)

Gen 9 being easy to shiny hunt in is so misunderstood. The odds with level 3 sparkling power with charm are not much better than what we seen before. The big difference is in Scarlet and Violet you see 15 pokemon at once instead of only 1 like in gen 6 and 7
