I disliked limitless because a lot of the plot depended on the main character being a good looking tall white guy. Otherwise despite being a loser he never would have gotten married to the woman who’s brother got him the smart pills. When you think about it the whole catalyst for the plot depends on him being physically desireable enough to find a mate despte being an absolute failure of a human being.

That has nothing to do with lenses...that's a color grading job. Plus many movies from the 90s are actually very high-contrast and very saturated afaik, which is the opposite of eye-friendly. I think the explanation to why many of the older movies look very low-contrast in digital formats really just depends on how the tape was converted to modern format and the algorithm used, so it results in these low-contrast film archives and therefore eye-friendly. Many artists nowadays use the appropriate color grading for the genre of the film, and the tools to make a good picture are now very accessible to independent filmmakers which should help cover your personal tastes. ;)

I slept on the floor or couch. I cheated in 90% of my elective courses I eventually earned a scholarship in basketball my senior year. Trying my best to get out the hood
