Years ago I was handling an I 485 interview on behalf of another lawyer. The beneficiary had advance parole and returned to Jamaica. The officer denied it on the spot as abandoned and showed me a regulation supporting the denial.

Very helpful videos Mr. Hacking! I also remember in one of your videos you had an idea of enlisting the fees of your service in your website which I really think it is a good idea because as you said sometimes people contact you for your service which they later find out they can not afford and of course I guess there are a lot of people around the world which are afraid to ask for your help or the help of any other attorney because they think by mistake that the fees are very high and they might not be able to afford it .

Filed for EAD and Advance Parole together with my AOS application. Still waiting for AOS (27 months so far) but at least can work now and leave the US if I need to. Definitely worth doing it

Unfortunately according to the USCIS processing times, the advanced parole is taking almost as much time as the AOS

It not as accurate as many Afghans applied for advanced but still has paperwork in process due to being unable to leave the country or waiting too long at embassies in other countries. They have to be vetted as people don’t want Taliban.

Why does the AP take too long? I understand if the green card takes long, but the AP shouldn't because there are instances when travel is necessary, and sometimes urgent. This has got to be fixed.

You are the First attorney to tell people to file for advanced P. Mostly attorney don't recommend it.They tell clients this not a good idea.

It’s so unfortunate that they’ve reduced issuing the “combo card” (both EAD & AP card in one) it would be more convenient for the applicant. But I figure it’s taking too much time so they’re mainly focusing on issuing the EAD which is a shorter time frame.

Does that still apply if we file i130 for me (spouse of usc) and I’m waiting for it to be approved and for the go interview in my home country? Shouldn’t I get the GC right away then? So the advanced parole and work authorisation shouldn’t be necessary, or am I missing something? Also, have the service centres stopped working all together? Haven’t seen barely any approvals all month 😒

My wife is German citizen, we have both been living in Turkey for almost 10 years together, our son was born here. got his US citizenship in Istanbul embassy. For my Wife, The USCIS said ok, the NVC said ok. Now we have been waiting for EVER for ANKARA US Embassy to schedule an interview. over a year. They keep saying we have to wait. We even had friends that work at the White House write a letter on our behalf, and still... they said gotta wait. how long? its like waiting at a bus station. we cant fully settle down here because we are always ready and waiting to go back to MA. :( gosh these are hard times. About to just give up and live in Europe.....

@@doremifasolatido-ro7zs I-485 got denied for failure to respond to a RFE regarding an arrest. i was never convicted, the charge got dropped, my record expunged. first lawyer failed to disclose that to uscis too but its a long story.

My case: my petition was revoked after the visa interview where I was told I was approved. Later on I got a petition revoke notice. My employer checked with USCIS and ultimately is filing a new petition for me now . What could be the problem here and the next course of action . Please suggest

Greetings. I mistakenly used my grandfather's name instead of fathers name as middle name in the dv lottery entry. I got selected. I put the right name order in my ds260 . Still the interview letter came with the first entry not the corrected name. Will the consular considere this a fruad or misleading ?could this couse a visa denial at the interview
