Spot on they are stuck in mud, and on the rare occasion they do make an intelligent run you either can’t pass there because of the stupid OP press or they happen to be offside. Every rebound is a goal, every near post shot is a goal, every cutback is a goal but it’s impossible to defend it for 90 mins every game. Your AI will make a mistake or a pass won’t go where you aimed it and then the opposition is literally clean through on goal. Also please tell me how most attackers win the ball more than a CDM or CB. They’ve got like 60 DEF max and yet they steal the ball off your back line on high pressure like it’s nothing so dumb

I find myself manually triggering runs with L1 this year more than I have ever done it in any previous years. Attacking AI is absolutely shocking in this game I can't play against the 71 depth and the players that literally just run down the line and do a cut back.. With the assisted passing this year it's almost impossible to defend a cut back pass even if you're blocking a passing lane the game will change the direction of the pass to a player that's not marked (even if he's on the edge of the box) and it's an easy goal for the opponent. Not a great experience at all I feel your frustration 1000%

I used to be able to break these type of players by fast passing around their players, but now passing feels really inconsistent. In order to make a consistent pass you have to control the ball and then pass, but by the time the player controls the ball, the passing option is already marked.

100%, this is absolutely spot on. You either have to sit like a sweat and pass round your back line for 80% of the game or force a super hopeful pass because youre literally bored of the game. I dont get how the super sweats (because all of us have to be sweaty somewhat in this game or you're chalked) play game after game knocking it round their defence. Its literally a game of who gets bored first the higher up in divisions you go. FUT Champs qualies the only time I get to enjoy the game somewhat.

It's crazy. Every player in the center isn't moving into any space, just accepting that they are marked in the press. Pressure tactics have been a problem in all of the last FIFAs and they were never able to do anything against it other than increasing the stamina drain. The defensive AI is perfect in man marking across the whole field, while the offensive AI doesn't do anything. Anything above Div3 you can only score by switching the play constantly to somehow break the press... the midfield is so congested that you can't even play a pass in there. You just try to skip the whole midfield by switching and runing down the line

Also love it when your wide players stand BEHIND the opponents fullbacks. You're looking to get it out wide as there are 0 options in the centre, so you make the pass and your wingers just stand there with 0 effort to get infront. So you might do a couple of turns, couple of 360s with your player making the pass to the winger, hoping the attacking AI will wake up and come closer or make a run but no. Just stand there behind the fullbacks and by the time you've waited for the AI to switch on, the pressure is too much and you make an awful pass or you're intercepted.

You have to create a game with one cb pushing forward and create a new station to play the ball to and then the game opens up and you are in attacking position easily against this pressure tactic. Cb go forward is the command on tactics. İt breaks the pressure by creating a new station to pass the ball to in the misdfield then and you can attack after he receives the ball in the midfield area

You are so right, bro. I've resorted to blasting the ball to my opponents goalie just to give them the ball so I could use the same pressure 71 depth tactics to counter. I do it all game.... It's gross and disgusting way of playing. No one attacks, everyone is pressured, and my ai is useless. I was wondering why I kept getting countered the first few days of EA FC 24. Once I figured it out, I was FORCED to play high depth pressure and counter all game. It's dumb.

Totally agree, I've given up playing online Fut and I'm just playing volta football for a quick fix of fc24 then spending more of my time playing Cod:warzone
