Thank you Inception! Most games I’ve lost this year I lost from a lead of 2-0. Not sure what tactics people use! They pause , come back with some new tactic and my players don’t move at all. I work hard to create a chance, green time and that doesn’t go in. I understand if this happens few times but it happened so many times it feels like it’s EA scripted. At this point playing FIFA is like gambling at a super rigged casino!

Constant pressure is super broken. I’m winning games sometimes and I’ve noticed that when people use that tactic, whether pausing and activating or just switching from balanced, they instantly start cutting out passing and mark every player on the pitch

this probably a bug in the game, for years. after pause menu you'll become unresponsive. mostly after the halftime pause as it's mandatory. you can try to pause it in first half and do nothing and u can feel the game changed.

It's been crazy bad this weekend... I'm a pretty average player getting between 11/14 wins in weekend league usually... this weekend i limped to 9 wins... the game was sooo unresponsive and it felt as if I was playing against a team of 22 players and not 11... no space anywhere and then a driven pass down the wings against me or a ball over the top and boom losing... I'm just fed up of it tbh... boring!!!

I quit FIFA years ago because of all this. Tired of bus parking players, people shushing you after scoring the only chance they had, the sweat, the stress, the gameplay based on RNG, the pay to win mechanics, the gambling feeling of the game, got tired of getting trash players in packs, etc. Now I'm playing other games and I'm so relaxed. Ocassionally I play some career mode but thats it.

If EA can’t seem to fix the pressure tactics then they need to make those tactics drain players stamina twice as fast as it currently does. That way if they play it for a full half every player will basically be empty on stamina.

You're saying exact the same things I'm saying to my friends for weeks and weeks. I'm in div 3 now. I have a Dutch team (+Savio because Eredivisie). I win 1 out of 6 games with pure crappy goals. And like you said: "it's not about winning". And you're right. But the thing is that in the games I lose, I can't do anything. ANYTHING. The opponents defence jumps in front of my players on their own. No, not only 'the greatest defenders' but also his ducking STRIKERS. When there is space to pass in and my players runs into it (very rare moment tho'), the pass is soooooo bad. I set the powerbar to like 3 bars and the pass is so weak. Even with players like De Bruyne or Modric. Doesn't make sense at all. Every... Single... Game...... I face Haaland. 9 out of 10 games. Every through ball that goes to Haaland are succesful. Even when I'm in front of the pass or running with him (AI & manual as well), he gets through. When I see Haaland in a players team, I'm instantly frustrated. I've 850k in my club, but I don't know what to do with it, because nothing works. Doesn't matter if I play with a bronze player or R9. I DON'T WANT TO PLAY THIS STUPID PARK THE BUS AND RANDOM 180° THROUGH BALLS ALL.. THE.. TIME.. FOR 90 MINUTES STRAIGHT. I can say so much more about this game but then this comment will be finished when the next FIFA is already on the market. Un-be-lie-vable-game!

Another reason why a team that uses High Pressure is broken, is because the punishment of affecting Stamina isn't hard enough or at all. Anyone that uses High Pressure/Constant Pressure/Team Pressure more than 60 seconds straight, should immediately lose a quarter of Stamina. The punishment for losing a quarter of Stamina that fast should result in negatively affecting a player's ability to pass, defend, mark, run, move, shoot, strenght, work as a team in keeping positions, backtracking, attacking etc. All of this must apply for high rated players as well. Because we all hate to see the opponent's Mpappe with half or more depleted Stamina, especially when we have been defending so well against High Pressure throughout the game, still running like Usain Bolt and scoring goals like nothing, the man is NOT TIRED, the man isn't affected by LOW STAMINA. It's insane and doesn't make any sense. INCREASE THE PUNISHMENT FOR USING HIGH PRESSURE FOR A SHORTER PERIOD OF TIME BY LOSING A LARGER AMOUNT OF STAMINA AND INCREASE PUNISHMENT FOR LOSING STAMINA BY NEGATIVELY AFFECTING PLAYER'S ATTRUBUTES AND ABILITIES!

Inception FC "High Pressure" tactics affects player's Composure attribute. This is so stupid and broken. Because even a high rated player as Messi, who has +90 Composure, will be affected, his first touch, passes, agility, dribble etc will all be so much worse. High Pressure shouldn't be a problem for a player to move, pass, first touch etc if the Composure is 82 and above! High Pressure is broken and the high Composure isn't resisting it well enough.

As you said I genuinely think the issue of how ratty people are is because the game is all about winning. Climb in rivals = better rewards, get 8 wins weekly = better rewards, win more games in fut champs = better rewards. Ultimate team isn't about having fun because if you don't spend money you will never get the top players and be able to afford the cards that you wanna play around with. All people do is grind competitive modes so that they can get the cards they want but then it's never enough, they'll never stop playing to win cause it's all they've been told to do. The fun that ultimate team used to be about is long gone, it's only about getting the best rewards. No matter what EA does to the gameplay people will continue sucking the fun out of the game as long as you have to constantly win games to ever make any progress.

Here my experience of playing fifa- I score 2 or 3 goals in first 15 mins. Other person turns on pressure tactics. I always get trapped on corners. No movement. Players like Bernardo Silva can’t move or dribble. By the time game ends I lose 5-3 😂 and it’s so annoying

You just described play balancing. EA gives squads down 1 or 2 goals stamina and power. If you can go up 3 goals it disappears. It’s exactly the same against the AI.

I am currently in division 3 and ever since division 5 everybody plays the same way. Whole team in defense run down the wing and even if there's nobody cross/pass it. At least in the lower divisions people try to be more creative. Worst is in the higher divisions people have better teams so it becomes easier to be a rat. I also hate the fact that constant pressure's stamina loss doesnt nearly affects players the way it should. I try not to be a rat but if you want to even have a fighting chance you need to go into drop back too

I don’t have much thing to complain, but right now I have two things I noticed in this Fifa is on how the players lose balance when they get pressured. Come on EA, even in real life shove on the back or a push is considered a foul. I get it if the likes of Koulibaly or Rudiger have insane tackling and I’m taking about real tackling not physical pressure. But so far my players sent flying like they got hit by a tank by any players, and it is a shove so it is supposed to be a foul.Number two is, The Constant Pressure, it is OP and I’m not even a pro player who gets to play and train about this game daily. But opponents uses this defensive tactic from early minutes towards the end of the game but they don’t show any sign of fatigue or vulnerability to injuries. Sure I can abuse it as well, I don’t want to depend to the game’s mechanic to win.

If you play on PC there's a program called exitlag, it will reduce your ping by rerouting you to the server in a more direct way. Might help you with the ping problem a bit. They have like a 3 days trial so you can test it out for free, for some people it does wonders, for some it aint enough to justify a cost.

The main game mode should be about only scoring a certain amount of goals (let's say 20) per week to get the rewards. It promotes aggressive play and losing becomes irrelevant.

I just feel like I’m pressured into using these tactics because I’m at SUCH an disadvantage if I don’t do it. The pressure stuff is so brain dead and sucks the fun out of every match. Most games I have like 40% possession but 15 shots more than my opponent. People spend thousands on this game just to sit and rat it out and rely on these AI trash mechanics.

I see "pro players" videos teaching how to defend better and the answer is "don't use your defenders, use the CM/CDM...I can't play a football game where in attack I have to invent new ways to score because of inconsistent gameplay and those heavy touches/dribles and on defense I just run with me CDM back and forth. I just cannot let the AI do everything, this doesn't work in my mind and I can't stop doing it, and in terms, I get scored so many times with triangle spamming it's crazy

It’s all based on greed. They want people to think their squad is inferior so you must somehow make it better. If that means buying points that is what a % of them will do. I guarantee the suits at EA demand their engineers script the game this way.

I took a couple of weeks off this game. First few weeks had a solid WLs usually 15+ wins. Come back this week. Got rank 5 which is barely 10 wins I think, on the final game. My players felt completely man marked and isolated and obviously I cannot dribble past anyone on this game. It all makes sense now after watching this video. Guessing the 'meta' has been discovered now and we will have many months of this to come as EA most likely won't address it.

100% - There’s times I am countering up the pitch but all my players are swarmed. I then glance backwards for another option and hold on - hes controlling a midfielder behind mine. Literally letting the AI do absolutely everything

Also let’s point out that this same tactic happens in squad battles too. You go up 3-0 in the first half and next thing you know the Pele on the other team has 4 goals because you can’t skill move against the AI. They’ll just slam into your player and get the ball back, counter and score. I win 3/4 on world class but there’s always that one team in a set that is 5/33 chem on team press either the whole game or when they concede 3

Watched the whole video and i can feel your frustration. Its the reason i did not start with FUT this year. Last years FIFA has changed way to much since they wanted it be to be more competitive. When i think back of the old days in FIFA everyone (let say 99,9%) played to score as much goals as they can, if someone was better you lose, but both went always for the attack. Nowadays you play against people who are scared to lose. I dont mind if someone has more possesion than me, but i hate those people who play possesion with no idea behind it, just to keep the ball and annoy the hell out of you. I always feel like those guys play like that because they dont know how to defend and they are to lazy to learn it. This year i just leave matches when i feel like its a try hard who thinks he is good because he plays like a RAT. I think that KZbinrs who make videos about how to do this and how to do that has ruined the game, because they learn noobs how to abuse certain mechanics. Also i hate how EA always brings in new features that are so unrealistic, i mean look at keeper movement, who the hell thought that was a good idea, or timed finishing where you can score from everywere on the pitch (FIFA 19) , or the powershots, i lost a game to someone who did 2 shots almost from the halfway line. i think the old days will never come back. People now just play like their lives depends on it and a virtual card for their team is the reason they live :P

Absolutely agree when I try hold the ball I do one pass and it’s intercepted when my opponent does it he keeps the ball for 15-20 minutes passing around the back my players can’t get near him.

Especially the community, nowadays you play against who all play the same formation, same tactics, against people who are scared to lose, Play for a 1-0 win, or keep possession the whole game, not to create chances, but just so they can annoy the f*ck out of you by passing backwards just as long till you rush and they can score. But hey i am glad you like the games now better. Probably you like to play that way too i guess

I will NEVER get 20/0 because I've always had a lot more fun in attack than just defending at the back and because I only play with players I really like. This WL felt like I played every second game against Haaland and or Mbappe.. Well, if you celebrate the players, that's ok, but 80% of the people are at the back and try to play a long ball at Haaland. 90% of the balls I intercept end up back at the opponent, that's the most frustrating thing. Look at players like Ribery, Mane, Völler or Di Natale. I'm in the elite division and haven't seen any of these players yet other than myself Every year there's a meta played by "pros" that everyone adopts

Inception I don’t know if you ever realized this but when someone actives pressure tactics. It changes your players accelerate. Lengthy becomes controlled and so does explosive. Please look into it and let me know if I’m tripping

1 thing I find very funny is people who say fut champs give you the best match making, which is only true of you at elite or div 1/2, as you get paired.with div 5 etc. These players only enjoy the game when they get to seal club lower div players, rather than meating people on the same skill level. It amazes me when their CB's still outrun me with no stamina and my ST has full stamina ha. I hate losing to someone's cunstom tactics rather than losing to them because they are good =(. I think EA like to make it toxic though! Just look at the recent chukwueze card that came out.. the objectives made people use 5 defenders and you needed a goal AND an assist with your LW. So basically every time I got a goal or assist with my LW people quit the game before I could complete the challenge (this even happened to me when the opponent had the lead... the literally quit just to stop me completing the objective!)

Agreed, I just wanna play and have fun but these “rats” just don’t allow you to have that. They play every game like someone has a gun to their head, go to KZbin to find the most op skill move, tactic and formation. I just play football the same way I have since I started in fifa 13, I get decent results but I’m basically playing the same style over and over again, just sweating it out no matter what game mode, even friendly matches are like it

It’s the same issues every year with fifa. The first few months constant pressure is OP then they nerf it then everyone starts to play 4-2-3-1 park the bus after that b/c they don’t know how to manual defend or the game just doesn’t allow you to do so like you said in the video. If they can just fix constant pressure and make the players tired by minute 20 then the game is not so bad. Better than the last 3 fifas at least.

Always playing against 4231,442,4222 PTB Through Ball simulator. I have been using 433 2 since Fifa 18 because I hated being the same as everyone else. Ive even had to stop using some players because they become meta players. I loved my OTW Dortmund Dembele back in fifa 17 but now I never use him because he's meta and everyone uses him. There used to be so much variety and now everyone just uses the same players every year and it never changes. I play 433 2 with 82 Depth 42 Width and Balance because I want to PRESS MANUALLY MYSELF and with a high line. I'm literally putting myself at a disadvantage because that's how I want to play football. Press high, and possession style football. But the game ai infuriates me because of these PTB rats who just don't do anything except hit L1 Trangle to their Mbappe, Haaland, Ronaldo etc. No skill. Just jope that my Centre backs get a bad animation which they will because I'll track the run but because I manually did it, they can't defend where as if their ai tracks a run of my player, the ai will win no matter what. Plus playing a high line is so difficult because the game naturally forces your team back instead of actually positioning themselves. Fifa needs to sort themselves out. I'm tired of seeing players who shouldn't be able to hit a 40 yard pass facing backwards consistently doing so.

A tip for those struggling against constant pressure. Use constant pressure back. Its by far the best counter and levels the playing field so that if you are the better player youll usually win assuming you dont make any sloppy passes in the back or get screwed

I am experiencing the same issues. I am in in div 5 (3 wins from div 4). It’s the first year I am playing fut so it’s not a bad result, but especially for the last few days 9 out of 10 matches have been like this. And I am just like, man I am still learning…I just want to play the game, let me play the game. But no. 90 minutes without being able to make 3 passes in a row because all my players except the gk are marked. It’s really frustrating. This video was really a relief for me because I thought I was struggling because of inexperience (which is a factor of course) but at least I know that what’s happening is not ok!

Thank you! 22 was my first FIFA and this has been driving me nuts; I was really hoping EA would fix it. I still don't understand how they keep it on all the time with fatigue and counter but this has to be it. I literally have nowhere to pass and if I even get a shot off there's at least 2 blockers right on me. Meanwhile my 2 CBs are trying to catch-up to 3 strikers that instantly get behind my line. I'll trigger constant pressure in the last 5 minutes when I'm down but there should be a huge penalty for running it for the whole length of the timer. I just don't understand how they do it the whole game without getting tired. I don't want to know either, I'll keep playing my old-man tactics for 1-2 wins, haha.

I play career mode occasionally, and even there constant pressure is draining and actually affects my team. But in Ultimate team, there is no effect. There arent guys picking up match ending injuries or anything like that bc of the fatigue, nope, just a guy on 20% of his stamina left outrunning my whole team

I literally just spam over the lob through balls at this point the ai gets every Damm ground pass. You can't even skill in the box because it just goes to the defender every damn time or get tackled from behind by the ai 🤣😂

Last year I found an instruction that was sometimes useful against high pressure tactics. It consisted of telling one lb or rb to go up to the attack and the other to stay, that way when I suffer high pressure tactics and moved the ball to the goalkeeper his team went to the side of the ball my lb or rb went up and I throw a long ball and sometimes I got a little space to work with. I dont know if this year could potentially work becouse i left the game after a horrible experience.

I just got into elite this past week, went 19-1 this weekend(lost in pens). I dont seem to be having this issue with my opponents. I think they big thing about this game is buildup, width, depth, and attacking play style has to be direct passing. With direct passing ur players will start to make “smarter” runs and will try to find more open spaces. Posses alot, go back and recycle the play, even if u need to use the keeper. He will send two to press ur keeper and there u try and find the space and man open, try to use the game map to help u. Also u can manually send ur players on runs and move them to wherever u want. Its called player lock look up the tutorials if u dont know how to use it. I also defend manually as i feel that the ai defends horrible when u come against neymars, halaands, mbappes ginolas etc. try to only use ai when ur pressing ur opponent on his side of the pitch. You also need meta players and sadly if u dont have pack luck or spend money on the game, u probably wont win. You need your virgils your neymars your ronaldos renatos mendy etc. You can beat rats trust me. I beat them all the time.

Stay calm, posses, and keep a cool head. Obviously fifa isnt realistic in terms of the pressure tactics and stamina, but teams in real life always press high or play five in the back and try to counter once or twice, they are just looking for that result, they are looking for that dub, people just love to win lol. But What do the best teams like real madrid, city or old peps barca do. They possess, find the space, create space, football is a mind game as well. But obviously theres other things that come into play with fifa, such as having meta players, exploiting glitches or broken mechanics (e.g. trivela shot), tactics, controller skills (e.g. knowing skills or how to use player lock or using ai defending).

The last fifa is the worst fifa. I was a beast last year and this year I’m terrible. They changed the game completely. (1) Why have they reduced the effectiveness of skills and dribbling?! In real life, skilful players are tricky to tackle. I dont care bring that back. Its a game ffs! (2) Longshots are stupidly overpowered. NERF IT. (3) Why tf can you run down the wing, blindly low-drive cross the ball across 4 player in my defence and my keeper stares into the sky even when he is in reach of the ball? (4) Counter attacks from corners are cracked! (5) EVERYONE should have the same opportunity to pack good players. Why the F am I receiving no one, compared to my friends. I constantly get a higher rank and people are out here packing meta players. (6) THIS IS THE 1st FIFA WHERE YOU CAN HOLD THE BALL IN YOU DEFENCE FOR 20+ VIRTUAL MINUTES! (7) you can even do quick free kicks anymore. You get fouled and your player attempts to pass it to you but the game kicks it away 😂 (8) The menu is slower than ever. The game freezes too much. There is more!! The list is getting too long What has this game become?! Seriously. Fifa was the only game I used to play. I’m done.

If your having problems braking players down is that the gameplay fault or yours because if its due to bad game play then no tactics will help and if its not that then maybe its your fifa level and maybe except your probably not that good at fifa because I deal with gameplay issues what makes it hard for me but braking teams down is easy with good gameplay
