Jon, I've had 3 Dynas , an FXD, FXDS and FXDL. I also had an FXR and an FXRS before they were called Dynas. I never experienced the "Dyna wobble" in any of them. I think the Dynas are the best Harleys ever made, and I wish I still had 1 (or more)! Did I mention that they are around 125-135 pounds lighter than my Road King? That lighter weight would be better for me now. Keep the vids coming!
@JonsMotoGarage4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure what the variables are but I've experienced it on my street bob as well (I wasn't going as fast), and I know of many other reported cases. It takes place primarily at higher speeds and/or while cornering at high speeds.
@EasyRiderGreg4 жыл бұрын
@@JonsMotoGarage Perhaps it's on newer Dynas. My newest one was an '06, I know Harley made some changes to the frame and suspension in '06. Maybe there were other changes later that have caused this.

Used to have a slight wobble at higher speeds on my bike before I got new tires, since getting new ones mounted and balanced properly I’ve had zero issues even when going north of 110mph

I haven’t ridden that many motorcycles in my life, but there are all of the others and then there is the FXDLS. It’s been almost two years but the memory stays with me. It is definitely special. I even pulled all the money out of the bank to buy it and had it in hand at a dealership but stopped at the last possible second. I am still wondering if it is just “too much”! Too much everything. Weight, power and of course $$$! Thank you for the honest assessment and all of your GREAT videos.
@noizee1844 жыл бұрын
I love my FXDLS but i feel ya on upgrades....did the rear shocks in fall and shes in currently for the front so I'll have legends all the way, changed my seat, fairing, fork tubes to gold, lifted the bars, went with forwards, pipes, S&S lifters, etc....

Right!? You can definitely throw some money into em. But yolo and it's definitely a one of a kind! Hahaha! Sounds like you've got a wicked nice build btw! 🤘😎

@@JonsMotoGarage thanks man! Yeah i had a few street glides prior and i stumbled across this bike, just called my name how it came. I love dynas but every other one had too much chrome or too skinny a front tire. I didn't expect to end up going so far down the rabbit hole so to speak lol but the more i alter to my liking the more this bike just feels....right. she's a keeper for me. Im not in the wheelie gang, i just put miles on so the only rare abuse is some good ol throttle therapy

I have a 2014 dyna street bob and have never had the wobble. I've heard Lot of people talk about it. I've read about it but never have had it happen in 5 years of riding mine.
@PFCOH4 жыл бұрын
Lower it,and it won't wobble. I've had my Dyna FXDB Street Bob since it was brand new, and I threw some Progressive 412's at the rear end. And progressive lowering springs up front, and I've never gotten the "Dyna Wobble", and I shred the fuck out of river road where I live. 75-80mph on corners that are 45mph. She rides like she's on rails.
@user-KrackerJack Жыл бұрын
Ive had that with most every fx style bike since my first shovelhead with the exception of the 2 fxr 's the one thing i like about the my current Sportster is the way it goes around corners better then any big twin i ever had
@sterlingmcphee4 жыл бұрын
I describe dyna death wobble as a death "sway" because wobble is essentially a violent unsynchronized vibration, where as you said, with Dyna "wobble" the entire bike sways, in more of a harmonic vibration fashion.

@JonsMotoGarage4 жыл бұрын
Actually had nothing to do with the wobble - that plagues my street bob as well. I didn't want to thrash it and I had too much money tied up in the bike. I stuck with the street bob so I could continue to learn and not feel as bad about beating up the bike with the wheelies and drift learning curve.

Jon's Moto Garage yes I’m sure you will. 167 HP AT 6k rpm and 163pounds of torque at 4K rpm. There are no V twin out there that are even close to that power. It’s simply a huge sport bike disguised as a cruiser with monstrous torque with that. For the same price ($27000 CND) as the Breakout.
