Alright! I was just talking the other day... been trying to get excited about nymphing again - not much luck. Mainly trying to get my spey cast dialed back in (your trout spey video last year is a go to) before I can get free to go over the pass for coastal steel when the holidays are done. But also just tired of the nymph grind. The crayfish though... I see 'em all the time - love it.

I love these quick trips. I learn a lot, and you always seem to catch a toad.

Awesome video! Looked really cold. I wonder about the sighter? Seems like it would reduce the feel. Best!

Fun video! Bought the T&T 3 wt 10ft from you guys a few years ago. It has caught me a ton of fish! Used it fishing a small stream the other day in38 degree water and I was still able To feel the light eats! Those were some nice bows on the cray Joe!

Joe, do you have backing on the reel before the Rio quick shooter ? If so, how many yards ?

Do you like to use the loop over a clinch there for a reason? Does it present better, or lead to fewer snags maybe? Thanks for the vid... some great fish in there. Beautiful day in the canyon!

Great question, this is exactly why I like comments. I'll use that mono line and loop-to-loop it into a little Skagit head sometimes so I run the loop. If it was strictly for tight-lining I would graduate it down with a blood knot or double uni.

Great stuff! When using Maxima, what length do you use? Assume it’s Rio Shooter to Maxima to sighter to tippet ring?

#8 sir, it was the right weight. The patterns themselves are pretty similar from size to size, but the weight changes quite a bit.

Looks like you need those skwala fusion 90 pants. Do a classic Joe review and compare them to the thermo 350s. No in depth reviews of those pants!!
