One Foot In The Grave follows recently retired Victor Meldrew (Richard Wilson) and his wife Margaret Meldrew (Annette Crosbie). Victor has a habit of moaning a lot and is a magnet of bad luck. In this video, I argue that he is a lot deep as a character, and the series is the best British sitcom.

It's mad how even now I'll talk about One Foot in the Grave with people who claim to be British Sitcom fans and they seem to think it's some cheesy broad sitcom which is a relic of the 90s that your Gran used to watch. It's arguably the most contemplative (bordering on the existential) British sitcom there is.

I love the series as well mate trouble is there's so many good series as time goes by,butterflies,dad's army,the good life,to the Manor born , rising damp,porridge,open all hours,last of the summer wine, fools and horses,birds of a feather,yes minister,yes prime minister,on the buses ,George and midred,are you being served, 😅😊❤😂😢
