I remember working in the Wirral and the local library was Bebington and I got this out on cassette in the 1980s. That’s how old the story is and it was read by the inimitable Ed Bishop. And this is the very same story and the writer.Thank you so much for uploading.

Have you tried Dean Koontz? Not all of it but a lot of it is amazing. Have a great day
@senorpepper34055 ай бұрын
@naomyramsey3643 dean Koontz is okay in small doses. King once said(probably talking about koontz) I like to write about normal people in extraordinary circumstances. Other writers like myself like to write about extraordinary people in ordinary circumstances. Koontz's characters seem to almost be interchangeable and he tends to use cheap story telling tactics, such as shock value. Maybe Koontz has changed, I haven't picked up a new dean Koontz book in over 10 years. One of my biggest annoyances from him was the main character being wealthy. Inheritance, the lottery, inventing something, if it could further the plot, boom, they're rich.
@ARandomCommentFromMr.RandomGuy4 ай бұрын
@@naomyramsey3643 dean koontz is amazing too, he barely level with king with his fast paced stories and storytelling... so if your dazed with stephen kings spells i recommend to read koontz to break it out of it ( break out of it a little bit because theres no really a complete escape from SK)

Driving through country roads of Lincolnshire, the trees were resplendent with dew. Spalding was in my rear view mirror on my way to Boston. Boston was my destination at this time, the women, the spirit. I admit, I’m a person who likes to kill. The smell of blood and fear is enticing and my thoughts move to weakness. Driving through the streets of Boston, the stump to my left, I saw her. My 34th since my Skegness days. I cut her gullet to ass, she felt nothing, nothing I tell ya. I left, I fled. Grimsby is my only way out. Where do I go? My next chippy ………..

The wind was whirling and the snow was curling around the arms of the bare trees. Headlights in the distance A muffled footstep to my right reminded me that Saul, my friend hadn’t left the Old Testament. An owl sounded from the birch forest. A snake Saul said. I offered him an apple and he called me a philistine. I looked East for the next 2000 years.. Fin
