Well, I agree about Penny - Leonard should have stood up to her more and dumped her but didn’t because he just cared about getting laid by her, but Alex was perfect for him but if he’d chosen her over Penny at the time he’d have been a hypocrite because Penny knew Alex was hitting on him the whole time and Leonard got insecure and on Penny’s case as he thought the guy in her class was hitting on her but she promised him he wasn’t and Leonard didn’t trust her but as soon as he realised Alex was hitting on him he loved it despite him always getting paranoid and insecure if a guy ever hit on Penny or if he thought she was being hit on. Still, Alex was the better woman for him but when it came to Leonard being with the women who were perfect for him - Stephanie, Alice and Alex - he always screwed up; had he dumped Priya at the end of season 4, he’d have been perfectly happy with Alice in season 5. As for Sheldon, well if it weren’t for him, Leonard would be dead or in federal prison so that’s a big part of the reason why Leonard stayed with him throughout the show.

Friend, i am in love with a girl and she is worse than penny. It is not easy to love someone and walk away from them. It takes all my strength to just ignore her when she contacts me. Only difference is that this is real life and i made it clear to her that being in love with her does not mean i will let her get away with manipulation and shit.

It has always baffled me to see how Sheldon's character is written. It is shown that he does not understand social norms and that is why he comes off as awkward or annoying because when he is telling someone they are wrong or making a point in his mind's logic he is being honest and accurate and others should accept logic. But then scenes like this show that he is perfectly grasped the negative concepts of society like being petty, vindictive, jealous, and ungrateful without bringing logic into the subject, He hates Lenord for his own failure. He wants Leonard's toys to break because his broke. He goes around saying how everyone should be grateful he lets them take care of him. Here his character breaks down from a logical robot to just an immature kid throwing tantrums

TBBT is funny to watch, but I think actually being friends with those characters if they were real would be very challenging. There's a lot of negativity, which brings everybody else around down and makes them more negative, and then the cycle repeats and things can get quite messy. I think if they were real they wouldn't have been hanging out more than a few months before getting sick of each other. Maybe only Howard + Raj I could see being friends irl long-term.

I think it is pretty good though. Perhaps you didn't get the humour? Don't get emotional at Sheldon being a biatch. It is part of the script and meant to be funny and humorous while suiting his character. Watch the show and chill with a cold drink, accept whatever you watch is the way to go for a film.
