The level of detail in these tutorials is great. I can't think of any other tutorials which mention pick direction in riffs, up or down, though others do with strumming. It makes a huge difference to the play-ability of riffs and how they sound. Thanks Guitar Pilgrim.

@@GuitarPilgrim Hi Thom, I've just discovered you. Am using your videos in conjunction with my (excellent) tutor. Am returning to guitar after many years away, and your enthusiasm, technique and good humour are wonderful. Love the Hendrix, SRV, Scotty Moore. If it pleases you - dive into some Robert Cray and Brian May. Today, as you say, is a good day... thx for sharing your skills.

Great lesson for a classic song. You nailed the rhythm and feel on this. Our band has played this for years with the keyboard carrying the rhythm. Now I can play the rhythm pieces when the keyboard player can't make it. Thanks for a wonderful lesson!

I play this song all of the time and very similar to you. I prefer palm muting the low E and not having it ring out. Sometimes add a couple of fills in between notes on the main melody riff.

Great lesson bro , would request if you could also incorporate some theory , like what's actually happening in the song , progression and the scales ; probably something like in the mind of Ray Charles it will make it super interesting and complete .

I disagree about the ending. You can’t say don’t “Ever” do that, some songs sound great with a dead stop at the end, some don’t. It really depends on the song and arrangement.
