DO NOT CHEAT AT POKER
IMPORTANT: I do NOT recommend using this move to cheat in a poker game. I am teaching the move for two reasons.
Reason 1 (first and foremost) to those of you who play in cash games where money is at risk, it is important to understand the many ways your game can be compromised. Many cheating tactics in poker and other card games played for money are implemented via "sleight of hand technique." The best way to learn how to spot a cheater using sleight of hand is to understand the mechanics that go into a move used by the cheat in order to gain an unlawful advantage in a card game.
Reason 2: Gambling sleight of hand is a beautiful art form and a joy to practice and study if cards, card games or card magic is of interest to you. Without gambling sleight of hand many of todays great magicians wouldn't be able to entertain and amaze us without the use of moves which derived from the card table. In essence... Thanks to artists and magicians these moves which were originally intended for unlawful purposes have proven to be of value when it comes to making people happy through the joy of magic and entertainment. And let's face it... isn't life a little better when we can turn a negative into a positive? I think so.
DO NOT USE THIS MOVE TO CHEAT AT CARDS. LEARN THE MOVE FOR EITHER PROTECTION AGAINST CARD CHEATS OR TO ENTERTAIN AN AUDIENCE BY AMAZING THEM VIA THE USE OF SLEIGHT OF HAND TECHNIQUE.
Use this tutorial to learn the One handed shift, also called the one handed pass. The shift/pass is an important move to know how to spot if playing for money at the card table and could be of great value to magicians and sleight of hand artists when performing card tricks or gambling demonstrations. While it is not meant to be invisible, this shift, when done properly is very deceptive and therefore very advantageous to cheaters in a live game or to the magician attempting to amaze an audience. Whichever reason you decide to learn this move, the more you practice the better you'll be at spotting it under fire or implementing it to amaze an audience. Stay Sharp... Stay Kardsharp.

Careful of the slap noise, I usually wait until someone is playing with their chips(that stupid shuffle move people like to do) or raking in the last pot.
@KardSharp
@KardSharp 6 жыл бұрын
My favorite way to use it is to keep my right hand on the table while turning around in my chair to ask for a drink or to say something. Also...I agree about the slap. Good note....and a perfect example of why I always say...its just as important to know "when" to do a move as it is to know "how" to do a move. ;-) Thanks for watching!

Is this the shift that's explained in Expert at the Card Table, the "Charlie's Pass"?
@KardSharp
@KardSharp 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Billy. you are thinking go the Charlier cut which is a one handed cut. The two are different. I would suggest learning the Charlier cut before attempting the one handed shift. Erdnase also teaches a version of the one handed shift in EATCT as well.
@Liberalismisadisease809
@Liberalismisadisease809 5 жыл бұрын
@@KardSharp the one handed shift in Expert I have down. Your shift looks like it can be executed much more rapidy. The tap on the table is a nice touch as well. Thanks for the advice and the quick reply. It's nice to see a channel geared more towards Mechanics rather than Magicians. Please keep the content coming

Madison's bottom deal would get you killed in fast company! Stay away from it! Jason England has a good tutorial...and Million Dollar Mechanics is goign to have everything I know about the bottom deal from over 30 years as a high stakes professional. But in the meantime, I'm gonna give you some great FREE info in the upcoming tutorial!

What do you think of the longitudinal shift? Have you ever used it?
@KardSharp
@KardSharp 5 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam. So sorry I missed your question...I always try and answer every question as soon as I can. Like many shifts, the longitudinal shift is very knacky. Having said that, under the right circumstances it can actually be a very deceptive move at the card table. I will add that to my list of youtube tutorials....I'm eventually gonna get the entire book online. lol . Hey..I noticed you haven't subscribed! Please do...and thanks for dropping by.
