I was hit by a drunk driver two years ago, and the wreck permanently severed the nerves in my right (dominant) hand, broke my lower spine, fractured my skull, broke my jaw and nose, caused a bleed on my brain, and permanently damaged both my ankles. I can no longer enjoy sports or anything that requires two hands. I used to run track in high school and now my back surgeon told me that I can never run again. My ankle surgeon told me that I would have to wear a brace the rest of my life and that I would always have ankle pain. My hand surgeon told me the best case scenario for my hand would be being able to pick up a pencil or hold light things. Seeing this video makes me want to cry that I can jump back into gaming. Thank you for making this @EvilControllers when my funds are right I'll definitely be purchasing this! Smith & Wesson made a handgun that caters to me and now y'all made a controller that caters to me! You honestly have no idea what this means to people like me, that companies take the time to make a niche product that let's us that have lost so much in life to enjoy the little things that bring entertainment and joy back into our lives. @@EvilControllers thank you! Wondering how that would work being left handed. Are the action buttons on the right remapped to the directional buttons on the left and vice versa? I'm looking at the options now, its $30 to remap the paddles? I thought the high price point was because you could remap the paddles, didn't realize that was extra. Also the thumb-stick extension is an additional $100, that's keeping me from pulling the trigger when the base controller with no additional features is $130 to start. I appreciate what yall did here, but it's a little too rich for me. I'm disabled not rich, lol! Thank you though, awesome idea nonetheless!

@@charlesashkenasy6315 Hey, hope you don't mind if i answer your question 2 years later, i've also had and accident AND a deep affection towards gaming but despite only having one functioning arm and hand (Left side) i kinda managed to pull thru and play most games, however you do need a special keyboard of sorts as i really wasnt able to play on regular mice and keyboard, i've been using this keyboard with a touchpad that resembles that of a laptop and have been able to play pretty much anything (except Mobas and some strategy games) ever since, so long as the keys are remapable. I play with an Adesso Keyboard Akb 425-ub. The general settings i use on most games is pretty much the same as before except for shooting, aiming, running and crouching (this is pretty generalized but you can change it if you want), i shoot with "V", aim with "LShift", run with "Ctrl" and crouch with "C". I've been playing only left handed for about 7 years but i can play pretty well this way, you can ask me if you have any questions and, also, sorry for the absolutely gigantic response i gave you, hope it's not much of a chore to read

I also cried while watching this. I had a dangerous sleep walking episode and could not use my left hand for about a year. After several surgeries I have mobility and strength again but as I age the pain and mobility limitations are returning. Your work makes me so happy for people like myself and those I’ve supported in my work who would love to play more games but simply cannot, until now. This is truly amazing! Something I have been looking for that would help my 8 yr old son wit Cerebral Palsy. He loves playing games but has only full use of his left hand and arm. Very minimal use of his right. I play games with him every chance I get and seeing him get so frustrated to the point of tears is painful to watch him suffer. This is a great idea. The only problem is that I heard nothing about d pad support. In games like persona 5, some actions can only be done with the d-pad.

Hi Kamen, When the d-pad inputs become the shape buttons, the shape buttons become the d-pad buttons. However, if you need access to both at the same time, we can add additional buttons to the left side of the controller. We do it all the time, it just isn't common enough to be a main feature we promote. However, it's totally do-able. I'm one handed what would really help me is tap lock for the L and R buttons for switch controller! Try to hold down L &R at the same time use the analogstick. And Y button is hard I've tried tape to hold down buttons but dose not work most of the time

I've only had use of my right hand since 2004 because of brain cancer, therapy didn't help me get functional use of the left arm and hand back. I specify functional because I can movethe am if akwardly. Seeing this makes me cry (Happy cry) until few years ago when a buddy got me a special mouse for my computer and a one handed adapter for the switch was made my gaming options were very limited. With the handle thumb stick the movement of the controller will be the left thumb stick right? Would I need to to invert the movement of the new “left thumb stick “ for example if I wanted to go forward would I need to pull the controller back and if I want to go back would I need to push the controller forward ? Or the movement of the “left thumb stick” would be the same for the movement of the controller ?

Question about the shift.. can paddles be removed? Rarely does anyone use all 4 paddles at a time and read reviews how it’s hard to hold without hitting a paddle on accident. Please tell me they can be removed

The Shift Paddles are not removable, however you can always remap them to be blank. You could also remap duplicate buttons too, say X for both of the paddles on one side. Inputs are becoming more complex with game types and by having 4 paddles, your controller will evolve with the industry.

It might be a little complicated setting it up initially, but it should be the solution you're looking for or you might find a different one experimenting with that combination.

Correct, the thumbstick can be used on the XAC with 3.5mm. Simply use the X1 3.5mm plug for Left Thumbstick movement and X2 for Right Thumbstick movement. It can be confusing as the thumbsticks are labeled X1 and X2.

I just had a stroke 12-23-2019... and my dominant right side is well currently shot... I am a pc gamer, i have regained some movement in my right side though not a huge amount. i purchased a double foot peddle from amazon and have it on my left side its helpful but not quite enough. Do you guys know of a remap-able comptroller that i could hold in my effected right hand like a comfortable grip and has a few buttons on it like two rows near the finger tips? this would give me much needed inputs ans exercise my effected hand at the same time... #RehabThroughGaming
