Thanks so much for this, have been working on my solo version for a few weeks and you've definitely given me some great ideas. Unfortunately, I don't play piccolo or flute so have to rely on my Casio synth for those but I'm starting to nail the bass part and the vocals. I've been playing the whole bass run where he hits Ab then goes up to Eb right up the neck past the 12th fret! I've been trying the way it's shown here but I kind of like the tone I'm getting doing it up the neck on my Fender P bass using fingers. Also, great tip with the finger clicks - that works really well! Looking forward to more content from you
