Am I the only one that thinks this one doesnt sound that great?
@justinreynoldscomposer3 ай бұрын
That's their intention for the sound. Nolly mentioned the Florida death metal scene for part of the inspiration. It's aimed at being a more raw sound, less processed like were used to hearing on modern records. But the kit can do both. He is right about it being a character kit. Ugritone has the best metal character kits that I have heard personally, sadly they just announced they're departing...Ugritone will be missed immensely
@johnsolus45673 ай бұрын
I think it has its place. Its less vaguely good and just good for its place.
@Dan-vb7lz3 ай бұрын
@@justinreynoldscomposer Weird that he mentioned Mick Gordon as well though, as Mick Gordons drums are the complete opposite end of the spectrum - super processed
@justinreynoldscomposer3 ай бұрын
@@Dan-vb7lz True, that's why I stated the kit can do both. But it allows the option of choice...it seems. I don't own any of the One Kit Wonder series, but I assume they're all polished right out of the box, I think that's why they were created (less flexible). But with this kit...it seems to allow it get more raw and less polished, they pendulum swings wider. It has a dirt channel, so it sounds trashy (which I like). This is all speculation, I haven't purchased yet, but I am basing this upon their intention from what was being said in the video. I just welcome imperfection in music is all, we need more of it
@PsychotropicAeonian3 ай бұрын
tbh even when they brag about these kits sounding raw, I don't really hear it come across in the demos, they all sound kinda samey and overproduced to me? I want to like it from the description, and maybe it can work in the right hands, but the fast double bass just sounds so inhumanly flat that any "rawness" goes out the window...maybe it's just the MIDI programming?
@alrecks6193 ай бұрын
