OMG I hope these raven Model Xs are still around when I'm an adult and can afford one. I'm 17 and a model X ludicrous is my dream car!

Re: Doc -- FYI, you have a ':' in for the X 100D so it thinks it is hours vs minutes: "Tesla Model X 100D 2017 1:55:51 vs Tesla Model X Performance (Raven) 2019 1:51.78"

You can smell the brakes?? Is that with outside vents open or with recirculation on?

Usually doesn’t matter - not sure what the auto setting was doing at the time

@@OneLap I have high regard for anything with great hvsc isolation. This detracts from what I felt for their biohazard mode.
@OneLap4 жыл бұрын
Usually Model X’s come with holes and window seal leaks so I wouldn’t hold their air con in the highest regard. Biohazard does try to create positive pressure in the cabin though and if you bought the one model x that came sealed from the factory it could work in theory

If you put the suspension on the low setting, the axel shake goes away. Probably would get a better lap time with it lowered as well.
@OneLap4 жыл бұрын
It was in very low and lowering helps the axle shake just like all Model S/ X but it was still very present.

@@OneLap - I honestly can't believe this is still an issue. How have Tesla not come up with a permanent fix for that wonky axle-to-motor geometry? I want to say I remember Electrified Garage (aka Rich Rebuilds) coming up with a solution, something to do with a firmer motor mount, but they shouldn't have had to do that. I'm looking at buying a used 2019 Raven MX Performance from Tesla right now. The MX has been a dream car for me ever since they came out, but it's crap like that front suspension geometry problem that really makes me nervous about owning one.

4:14 1.4 kWh/mi = 870 Wh/km. They will have to bring those numbers down into the nWh/mi range if they want to put the Tesla Roadster into the Indianapolis 500. That gives this Tesla Model X P100D with the Raven powertrain only about 60 miles of track range against a much more respectable city/highway range of 350 miles.
@OneLap4 жыл бұрын
Actually I’m pretty sure the track itself was 2.8kWh/mi - the 1.4kWh/mi was for the last 30 miles
@scratchpad79544 жыл бұрын
@@OneLap That's way worse efficiency than I thought. That would amount to only about 40 miles of track range or a pathetic 11% of its rated city/highway range. 😳
@OneLap4 жыл бұрын
Yes, pretty normal for hard driving in an EV. When we go to the mountains my Model 3 performance has about 70 miles of range before going completely flat. It’s a huge downfall of battery powered vehicles
@elsamuraiguapo4 жыл бұрын
@@scratchpad7954 well the roadster is supposed to have a 200kwh battery and 600+ miles of range
@scratchpad79544 жыл бұрын
@@OneLap Also, I might add that I saw a video from Daerik where they were towing a horse trailer with their Model X and they were pulling consumption as high as 1 kWh/mi (621 Wh/km). That trailer was flirting with the 5,000-pound towing capacity of the Model X.

4 years and 5 revisions later, Tesla still has not fixed the shaking front axles. Just wow.....
@harsimranbansal53554 жыл бұрын
1stMil.com I mean not many cars have that amount of torque, but yea it should be fixed!
@kens97sto1714 жыл бұрын
@@harsimranbansal5355 The torque shouldn't matter. The rear doesn't shake and it has independence suspension. And it puts down more power. There's something wrong with the angles on the axles relative to the suspension.
