He has lost his dad and his mom during this build and his wife has been ill battling cancer. Much has gone into the building of this cabin to create a get-away, safe haven and legacy for his daughter and future generations. He deserves all of our prayers and blessings! 🙏🏻

This episode, unfortunately, made me cry remembering all of the previous chapters with you and your dad. Considering today's world, your dad is definitely in a better place. Brother this video is better than a lot of Hollywood movies I’ve paid to see! So sorry for your losses and life’s challenges. That is an epic build by two gifted master carpenters! The cinematography throughout is gorgeous and so very well edited! The acrylic back door a masterpiece! However all of the foregoing is topped by the glorious ending that was so tearfully touching! My prayer is for God’s continued blessings upon you and your family! ❤️🙏🙏🙏

I have been watching your videos for years. I never comment, but I have to say this is one of the most powerful videos I've seen. I spent the last 30 years working in construction and welding, and I must say I enjoyed watching all of the woodworking. I especially enjoyed watching you learn from your father. He spoke little, but his actions spoke volumes. Today, I am a 52-year-old freshman majoring in communications, and I just have to say I think you have created something special here. Thank you.

Your dad taught you so much!!! Everything you build will still be there when your daughter is a grandmother - should that be the path she takes. It's wonderful that you have all the footage of your Dad - I suspect there will be many times in which it brings you comfort - and pain but that's part of life. He'd be so proud of the job you've done and what you continue to build. Thank you for this - it was wonderful to see it come together so quickly, in spite of having watched for years now. Thank you for all the hard work you do to bring us these wonderful videos. May you be at peace.

I have to say, I have never seen the quality of this build you and your dad built together. The attention to the filming detail you put forth to bring everything to us the viewers. I was deeply saddened to learn of his passing during the build. I'm sure when you went back to the cabin to complete it that you walked around and saw things that he had done and can't imagine how hard that must have been. The Oscar ‘s will soon be awarding statues to movies that will never make me feel as much as this 2 hour tribute to your father has. The ending, with the empty chairs and your father’s weathered flannel, to slowly be filled first by you and a moment of solemnity, then by not only your daughter, but then also by your wife and a happy family moment gave me an overwhelming feeling of peace and continuity. Even though I had seen every episode before, I watched it all unfold again with emotions that might not have been there before. Bless you…

I started a house last year and am building it myself. My dad was helping me as much as he could at 87 years old. I lost him shortly after we poured the concrete and raised our first walls. Sometimes it hits me hard and it’s always bitter sweet. I understand the loss and the relationship.

This cabin build is one of the most beautiful ones I have ever seen. My heartfelt condolences on the loss of this great man you called Dad. I am happy for you to have recorded so much footage of him in your videos. Although the cabin is wonderful, the back door is the crowning touch. Your dad must be smiling down on you from above for the strength you have shown the world with so many sad obstacles in your way. I will make sure I keep your lovely wife in my prayers. God keep you safe.

Started watching this during 2020, and it was an escape for me to see what y'all did. The past few years have been hard for a lot of people. Y'all stripping those logs, and driving tractors around in the woods. Pulling down trees. Stacking em up to cure. Even the solo camp sled house you built, watched all of those too. I stumbled upon this today when I haven't watched since the dormers went in. WOW!

Well that was two of the most pleasant and inspirational hours I've spent on the internet in quite some time. Beautiful work, and my condolences on the loss of your parents. Your cabin will always be a home away from home for you now, and will hold many fond memories for you for the rest of your life. Enjoy them well.

I think you did a beautiful job of capturing the journey thus far. I expect that the editing of this compilation was both theraputic and painfull, but will serve as a fitting tribute to your Dad and to perseverence amongst the hardships. While I always look forward to seeing the next step, the desire to step back and recall the experience and appreciate what was accommplished has special value as well. It is both a physical and emotional journey. Thank you for sharing it.

This amazing tribute to your Dad really touched my heart. He will always be there watching over you and your family. I have followed from the beginning of your build and watched your dream cabin manifest. The love., imagination, determination and precision you shared with your father is in every corner of that beautiful forest home. Thank you for sharing your love for him and the rest of your family. A new chapter begins.

🇺🇲🇨🇦🇺🇸🇨🇦 Watched 20 min. of your Dad meticulously cutting, sanding, and helping anyway he could... Then you say, "... his last day at the cabin". I'm reminded and challenged to spend more time with my children and Grandchildren as I'm currently slowly letting go of my Parents and my wife's Parents. My Wife has MS which gives me an added appreciation for the thought you put into things... 🙏 Prayers with You🙏!!!

I just happened to scroll and click your video and I'm glad I did. You gentlemen did an outstanding job. I sat here in the garage with my son and watched it. Our sincerest condolences and heartfelt prayers go out to you and your family. What a beautiful way to pay tribute to the man that started it all. This cabin icons the memories gone by and the future ones to come. One day I hope I can do something similar with my son. This life is so precious and time waits for no one. I didn't get a chance to build a cabin or a car or anything that fathers typically do with their sons but now I have a chance with my son and promise to God I won't squander it. This is amazing and inspiring. We truly enjoyed watching this build.
