Me too! They're still my favorite OUAT couple! I don't know what's wrong with me? I know I shouldn't after everything Rumple's done to her LOL! I just can't help myself! It's just that despite it all, I still believe that Belle _is_ Rumple's true love, not power, though it was his greatest addiction and weakness. These two are the only couple that can ever make me cry because they are so hopelessly romantic and passionate! I hope Rumple can actually start shaping up for Belle now that the curse is gone. I'll be _very_ disappointed if not having the curse doesn't ultimately teach him a life lesson.

Schoolgirl325 Belle is Rumple's true love, but power is the Dark One's true love. Now that Rumple is free from the Dark One, it's just him and Belle so they can have their happily ever after.

Picturamadojo I could see that being the case. However, I'd be surprised if he didn't almost relapse by really struggling not to take the dagger back at least once. Yes, Belle is Rumple's true love, but power is his greatest addiction. He's been living with the curse and its power for the past three centuries. I'm guessing that it won't just be easy to go back to being mostly if not completely powerless.

Schoolgirl325 But what if he's not powerless? What if he also has magic? That's why the Dark One pretended to be a beggar and tell him how to gain control over him? The Dark One needed more power, and here was someone who didn't even realize he was magical in the first place. He'd be a perfect pawn in the Dark One's efforts to gain more power. Why else go after Regina? She's dark and powerful, but for the Dark One to take over Emma, he's got the grand prize. He's got incredible powers PLUS the fact she's the savior. It may take a former Dark One who still has some powers to help fight the new Dark One.
