I love, love, love this card!!! I have always loved rainbows. When I was young I belonged to the Cleveland Order of Rainbow for Girls. So, rainbows have always held special place in my heart. I also really enjoyed your spider and mouse stories! I laughed out loud. It's been a long stressful day, so I needed a good laugh. I could tell you stories of the snakes in my house! Thanks for your videos! !

When I was a girl, I ALWAYS outlined everything I colored in black - always! I totally get it! Sounds like Eric is a real treasure - I’ve always had to take care of my own spiders....even black widows, which are more than a little scary, to say the least. Kudos to him for being your rescuer! I finally have one now, too! You’re very lucky!

Pretty card. Love how the pencils came out! The stories from your subscribers are quite frightening. Spiders show up at my house when no one else is home. If I see one on a flat surface, I drop a canned good on top of it until someone else can come to the rescue. I got a "Critter Catcher" from Santa last year. I practiced with the included plastic spider, but haven't used it on a real one yet. We have aggressive wolf spiders here. If you stomp your foot at them, they come at you instead of running away (*I* end up running away). Also, you need a cat!

I love the card, no surprise there! I love all your cards! I do have a pest guy, I live in Las Vegas. We have scorpions!! Found one in my living room the day I was moving in!! He puts the sticky pads in my garage, catches bugs really well, also catches little lizards that wander in from the heat! I have carefully taken 4 lizards off these, as long as they were alive, and learned with the first one, have some paper to put under each body part that you release from the sticky pad or they will just put their foot, belly, tail, right back down! One lost a leg, one lost a tail, which I think grows back. The latest one I powdered up with gold bond because he was so sticky his legs were sticking to his body. My maltese dog is obsessed with them, but she can't catch them, they are too fast!

Beautiful card, of course. You made it! It’s so interesting.....you will outline all your images, add lines, draw in the wood. Too fussy for me. But.....I will add layer after layer of die cuts to my designs, and ink the edges of them for added dimension. I’m sure you would think that’s too fussy for you. Lol. Good thing we are all different. 👍🏻 You are so kind. I don’t visit bugs’ homes.....they don’t get to visit mine. Smash. I don’t feel bad either. But I’m not afraid of them. We don’t even have many bugs here in the desert. A few bees, flies, a few moths. RARELY a spider. You need to move your family out here, girl. Lol

I love the details you put into this card! Great colors, too. Glad you were able to get an exterminator out. We had problems with raccoons for a few years. We had feral cats around our property, for whom we would put out food & water, which the raccoons gladly partook of. I even tried building a raccoon-proof feeding platform--over $100 in supplies and an epic fail! :P I finally called Orkin, as they had sprayed our house for termite prevention, & asked if they relocated raccoons as well. They had a department that does just that! They will also remove mice, rats, etc., and the guy even covered our outside vents and all with mesh to keep critters--including snakes, thank you--out. Not cheap, but well worth every penny. Apparently, for whatever reason, the raccoons have moved on, & I think the possums may have gone with them. We also don't have feral cats anymore, just a neighbor cat who loves to come over and eat the food we put out for him. So, we have been able to downgrade our monthly rodent protection to just bait stations for rats & mice. We do have one rat that lives in our garage, but I can live with that, since s/he seems more scared of me. Droppings all over--not so great, but what can a girl do? Anyway, hopefully you won't have as much trouble with multi-legged critters henceforth (anything with more than 4 legs, anyway). Take care, & have an awesome day! :)

I love your coloring because even though I watch all of them, I always learn something new every time. But more than that, I love your stories. The fact that you were held hostage by a spider is hilarious but you do realize, that you are bigger than the spider right?
@slyseyes5 жыл бұрын
Spider suggestion ... for those "hard to reach" situations --- vacuum cleaner. Just be sure to let it run so the dust stops the spider from getting air. If it still bothers you, put it out in the garage until your honey can get rid of it. Considering your "collection" of critters would be: good pest control services. (oops...heard that you did hire a service to do that.)

First of all - cute card! You always give such clear instructions and I love your work. There are some videos where I wish people would just get on with the subject and not chat so much, but you are not one of those people. I absolutely LOVE your "story times" and I really look forward to them. You make me giggle often. Your description of you staring at the spider until Eric got there reminded me of a time when we had a mouse in our house. Everybody else was in bed and I was working at my computer in the kitchen. Out of the corner of my eye, I caught movement and it was a mouse! I didn't want to wake up my hubby because he had to work in the morning, so I thought I would try to wait it out. I grabbed the broom and sat in my chair, with my feet up on another chair (like mice can't climb) and held the broom in my lap like it was a rifle, and sat like that all nite. Needless to say, we got traps the next day and wound up catching the little thing in a glue trap. Glue traps are horrible! That story was both hilarious and terribly sad all at the same time, but I would never use them again for mice. We live kind of in the country now and I have a bug guy that comes out every three months to try to keep critters out of my house. I always know when it's time for him to come back because they start creeping in again and sure enough, he calls to schedule the appointment. It's definitely money well spent. I look forward to lots more cards and stories. Thanks for sharing.

There are times that I am not sure if I enjoy the card and how you explain what you are doing to make the card or the story more. Love the card. I am with you girl when it comes to spiders. They can live outside all that they want as long as I don't see them. When they are in my house; it is an automatic death sentence for them. It doesn't matter how big or small the spider is because they are just creepy insects. My favorite story about spiders is that one day when visiting my dad, he decided to clean out his store room in the basement of his house. No problem until a black spider decided to come running towards me while helping him organize. The spider died immediately. As we continued to organize, there were two more spiders that showed up. They both died too. My youngest brother and his wife came over for supper and look through the items that mom and dad had saved from when we were kids. As we were talking another spider shows itself. My brother knowing how much I hate and fear spiders points him out to me. I told him to go kill it for me. He says you are closer. I told him that I already killed three and it was his turn. He took pity on his sister and got up and killed the spider. lol

Great card love your coloring. As for the spiders I have daddy long legs in my basement where I craft and they really don’t bother me. However if they venture to the upstairs they quickly get killed. As for bugs... just ew. Ew, ew, ew. I can handle poop, barf, blood... anything kid or pet related that is gross, but I HATE BUGS. I also tend to leave them to my husband, since we handle different issues - he hates any health problems, and can’t stand blood. He’s getting better since I had surgery, but he’s still squeamish. And he prefers a quick fix to anything if he can get it. 😂

We had a car drive through the picture window of our house when I was young (I grew up in Parma)! I lived in a split level and it literally drove up the five steps to our front door and into the window so the front end was in the house and the back end was hanging out there. Our house was on a pretty sharp curve so I'm actually surprised it hasn't happened more often.

Such a nice card, Kelly. I understand how you feel about Molly not getting the mouse. We had 2 Schnauzers (which are considered ratters, for goodness sake). A mouse ran past the female (who did not flinch) and OVER the paws of the male, and he looked at us as if to say "That was a mouse." Not a bark, no further interest in the fuzzy little pest. Let a bird roll over in its nest half a block away and they bark. Someone wakks down the opposute sidewalk, a cacophony of barking. A mouse on his feet... nothing!

I totally hear you on the 'losing the spider' scenario, a few days ago I saw a huge spider in the corner of my dining area and told my husband about it and asked him to remove it, he said he couldn't right then because all the bikes were in the way, he couldn't find the extension tube for the vacuum cleaner to reach it and his back was aching so he couldn't move the bikes. Lo and behold the next morning the spider had gone :( where, I have no idea, and now I'm jumpy everytime I see something move! Haha! Worse part is that there was one the same size in the kitchen under one of the cupboards which has also disappeared, and I don't know if it's the same one as in the dining area or a different one! 😣 I'm a nervous wreck! 😂 Years ago my cat would chase and eat them, now she's getting older her response is 'meh. Whatever!' 😐 I've heard speaying door and window frames with peppermint spray is supposed to deter them but I've not tried that yet. Love the card, can see that could be used in so many situations 😊 Hope you have a spider free week! Kate x

I love your videos and especially watching you color! I agree wholeheartedly about the spiders and mice. I also feel the same way about snakes--doesn't matter if they're poisonous or not. After our remodel, just after we moved back in, we discovered to absolute horror that mice had moved in sometime during the remodel. Apparently, a family had moved in while the workmen had left the doors open. MICE in my beautiful, new(ly remodeled), clean home. I would have paid almost any amount of money to get rid of them. And spiders don't have to be black widows to be truly dangerous to a human. You're right. When my son wanted to adopt the snake that made it's way up through the plumbing into the bathroom during the night, I said absolutely no and meant under no circumstances. It's in the Bible--I told them--at the fall of Adam and Eve, that God put enmity between woman and the serpent. Of course, He meant the enemy, satan. But no one can prove to my satisfaction--except God, alone--that God didn't mean to include snakes in that deal. The scripture doesn't say if satan was still in the form of a snake when God spoke to him, but it doesn't say he wasn't, either. I'm with you, they can live in their own environment--which won't be my house.

Your brief mention of the frog reminded me we had a frog in our house about a month ago. My poor husband had to get up the next morning at like 3am for work, so he was sleeping. I had stayed up and it was about 11pm and I was getting ready for bed. I noticed one of our cats was crouched down like he was about to get something. I walk by him and noticed something in front of him moved. I squeal and jump over him and run back to the bedroom. I wake my husband up and tell him Quincy has a mouse or something. He gets up (not real impressed) and we both come out to the living room to find both of the cats chasing a frog who is now hopping all over the living room 🤣 My husband caught the poor little guy, looked him over (he didn't appear to be injured) and released him outside.

I agree I live in South Alabama, the spiders here--UGH! First time I went hunting out here I SCREAMED.. LOL, I was walking out to the blind and I didnt see the web of the rather LARGE spider. I walked right into it, saw this thing running down the web, I let out this scream that made the 2 guys I was with stop in their tracks look back and started cracking up at me. Spider never touched me, but I was freaking out that whole day while hunting. A few weeks later, I am in my backyard and my son walks up to me with a jar.. he said hey mom look what I found for you! Mind you at that time he was 20 yrs old. I grabbed the jar went to open it and there was this HUGE spider. Needless to say that jar went flying right back to my son. Since that hunting trip my son and his friend (that was hunting with us) teases me every chance they get. They will never let me live it down.

First let me say, cute card. Love the idea behind it. Now I have a question. What exactly is Perfect Medium? I just got my first dual set of Perfect Pearls and the medium came with it. I've watched you enough, lol, to know that you can just mix it with a little water. Take your time. I know you're one busy lady.

My understanding is it's a lot like an embossing ink, clear sticky etc. I would think it's comparable to Versamark.

Worse than the spiders, tarantulas, scorpions, etc are the two inch long flying Texas roaches that come inside when it’s super dry and hot. I can’t even sleep sometimes for fear one might be inside.

The card is gorgeous!😍 Love all the different rainbow colors on it. ❤🧡💛💚💙💜 Every time when I hear you talking about the spiders, I'm worried that it's a brown recluse. Maybe I've seen to many creepy stories about them, I don't know. Those are scary critters. 😱 But these one in your house aren't brown recluse's? I don't like spiders either. I kill them with my electric fly swatter. I'm all alone, so a girl has to do what a girl has to do. 😅 But I flush the corps through my toilet, so the spider will never make a resurrection. 😆

I'm pretty sure they aren't.

Ba ha ha. My husband is Scottish and I'm Australian. We live in Australia and I'm the designated spider killer. They are deadly here I can't afford to have the hanging around potentially harming to kids!

Love the storytime, this is why you now need a cat to add to your family, to catch the mouse & eat all the bugs, lol. A cat would have hunted that mouse till it was no longer living, a dog doesn't care about mice, at least I don't think so. Side note about the card, lol, great idea for a scene card--it came out so colorful & amazing!!🏳️🌈🏳️🌈✏✏🐱🐱🕷🕷

I know what you mean. Snakes give me heart fauiler. And I walked up on one by my car ran back inside side by front door to watch it and OMG I lost him too. Freaking out so bad well little burger crawled up underneath my car. Was so freaked out that he was gonna come inside while I was driving kept watching my feet as felt like something was crawling on it. So more of my story is your not alone.

Every time I see a can of spider spray I think of the "Spider Murder House" story Kelly told about the spider having a CoverGirl moment when she sprayed one she found in her laundry room right after she moved into this house. I laughed so hard at that story.

I am certain that all bugs were put on this earth just to scare the living daylights out of us. Last night we were watching television when I felt something tickling my hand, I look down and there's a cockroach crawling on me. I flicked it off and jumped up screaming. My husband found it and got rid of it but I felt prickly all over for hours afterwards. We need to spray the house again.

I was thinking there weren't any bugs that I was really afraid of, until you mentioned a cockroach! Ugh, those totally creep me out! I put a sticky trap in a college boyfriend's bathroom and was horrified when I saw it had a cockroach in it.
