I know it's a moot point but the one time I can think when you would use "I love THE clowns" is when you're talking about the parts of a circus you love. Anyway I am so grateful I came across your channel. You explain Spanish in such a way that really helps my gringo brain.

One question: Why say "Me gusta la pizza" (I like the pizza?) why don't just say "Yo gusto la pizza"?

Me gusta literally means " it pleases me " which is a reflexive verb so "me" is necessary

basically for the same reason that u dont say 'me likes pizza' its beacuse it sounds WEIRD u say 'I like' in english its been stablished general rules (as any other language). theres different uses for 'I' and 'me' working in different situations same ✌️

I was also taught that "amar" is a formal of saying "to love (when talking about a loved one) and verbs like Quiero or encantar is an informal way of saying "to love"(like an object or a celeb) I hope that makes sense everyone.
