I don't think I know any other male vocalist in the world who can sing like Dimash, or who has the same range. You're in store for an amazing and unforgettable journey with Dimash. Love your reaction of disbelief. It’s ok. That happens to the best of us. The only cure for that disbelief is to listen to more Dimash! Take note: Dimash is music itself. Pure and simple. His pure angelic voice can cone in as a whisper and punch through to your heart and soul with such purity and power then come back down to such tenderness filled with emotions. I'm happy if you can feel this voice. "S.O.S." and "Ave Marie" (New Wave 2021) were the first two songs I heard from him. Since then I have been dimashified. Dimash brings light frequencies to the listeners with his voice. Unfortunately, not everyone can feel and unterstand that. For me, Dimash's composition "The Story Of One Sky" (his masterpiece) shows his greatness best. The amazing OMV brings us closer to his message of peace (full of symbols), the live performance (video: Almaty concert, part 3, from 23:23) impressively shows his outstanding vocal quality and his expressiveness on stage. But of course there`re so many different styles of music Dimash sang in many different languages. Ironically, you mentioned Michael Jackson since MJ is an idol of Dimash. Trust me, no one would get upset with you regarding Dimash. As they say, "You ain't heard nothing yet." It's hard to suggest what to hear next. I can only say some of my favorites: Your Love, Love Is Like A Dream, Sinful Passion, Ikanaide, and Adagio is definitely a must. All By Myself and Unforgettable Day from his performances on "The Singer 2017." When he appeared on that show he was only 22 years old. His first four songs were in French (SOS), Opera 2 (Russian), The Show Must Go On (English, and Autumn Strong (Mandarin). He now sings in 14 languages. I love your reaction, it is so genuine. You are mistaken, they have very little in common. And this makes me very happy, MJ is not on the list of my favorite singers. He is more of a dancer than a singer. Perhaps this is why I know that much of what is considered Jackson's "property" was "invented" before him. Dimasha studied academic vocals. Opera singers often sing arias while kneeling. Dimash is a unique vocalist, a professional singer.

Dimash cannot be compared with Jackson either externally or vocally. Dimash is very tall (1m 91cm), a handsome Asian man. This is natural beauty without plastic surgery and tons of makeup. Dimash is unique, he is a vocal phenomenon.

I think when people mention MJ in the context of Dimash, it's probably more a vibe they're picking up on, rather than a direct comparison of appearance or vocals. Somehow the influence just comes through, even though he sings or looks nothing like him. Sometimes the influence is more obvious, as in Be With Me, for instance. But sometimes it's just a vague sense, or a certain tone that makes people think of MJ. Sometimes Dimash will dress in a way that evokes MJ as well.

And Dimash has said over and over that Michael Jackson is a big influence on him. Yes, I agree that he does not sing like him usually, or move like him. But he deliberately does so sometimes, as in El Amor en Ti, at the end when he is running across the stage and making the high-pitched squeals, as well as the way he moves and dresses there. He does it deliberately sometimes, that's all I am saying. He even had a tribute to MJ. I agree with you that he is much greater, and I am not a big MJ fan, I just see that the influence comes through sometimes. He also allows other influences to come through on occasion. This doesn't take away from his "aura" in any way, it only shows that he has a very strong foundation all the influences that he started with as a child.

@@FretsOnFire Youthful hobbies can eventually become a problem for an artist. Unfortunately, Dimash did not avoid this mistake. Those little things that are associated with Michael are noticed only by his fans. They “see” their idol even where there is no hint. And this is a very bad trend. An artist will only become successful when they stop comparing him to other artists. Vocally, Dimash took a lot from his other idols. But they are not constantly mentioned. If Dimash was “like Jackson,” I wouldn’t listen to him. But he even sings songs in the “Jackson style” better.🙂
