Captain Kidd supposedly stashed some stuff on the backside of our island, spent two weeks at an area that has a natural sea wall and pond, it’s an incredibly remote area with huge cliffs and was even more so back then, my girlfriends grandfather used to spend 4 days a week staying out there for decades, even had a bulldozer floated around and put on the seawall, he’d never admit it but everyone always said he had far more money than he ever had legitimately so figured he must have found something out there that convinced him there was more and made him a bit obsessed, we’re only a two day sail from oak island too and he was allegedly involved in that too

I do believe the treasure is real and not a myth,look at the chests they’ve found and Richard meeting that man that had found all the clues,hidden compartments,it must be true! Rip to Richard Knight,the whole story is just crazy! Maybe one day a young adventurer like that 18yr old young man will pick up where he left and pursue his dream!When there is so much concrete evidence and clues I do not believe it is just mythological,I’m sure everybody said that it had to be a myth until Richard found all those clues.Beautiful the want for adventure and desire to discover treasure,sad to see obsession in men who spend their whole lives searching for something they don’t end up finding because,alas,father time is real!

I read the book about this treasure hunt and Richard did not use a cheap detector like in this video. He used a 2 box type detector that was capable of reaching several feet down into the soil. He said that the Vietnamese patrolman thought that he was trying to use the device to spy on them. He had actually found some treasure and a pistol, etc.

I've watched this story several times and I'm not sure what is true and what is not but you would think that something along the lines of this story must be true as far as the treasure maps and such how else would he have come about them. I suppose it's possible they were completely fake as well. But if the maps were true maps from the period then isn't it possible there is a treasure hidden somewhere in that vicinity?
