Lipstick! Always carry lipstick! I spent a couple months living in the Vietnamese rainforest tracking primates (I am a Zoologist) and honestly other than my machete, hammock and water purifier the one thing that I used almost daily was my lipsticks and chap sticks! Used them as emergency fire starter, used them to mark trees for directions but you can also write messages/draw arrows, used one as a grease to get out my hand out of a nasty situation where it got lodged between some rocks, used them as emergency moisturiser and to prevent sunburn. I also used them frequently to waterproof some of my smaller items like matches as we did a lot of wading through rivers and it was typhoon season so everything was constantly soaked. Bloody handy little thing that nearly every woman carries in her bag and so glad I took them with me. Not sure you could kill someone with a lipstick but hey it is a great little piece of equipment!

I live in texas, where even retired school teachers carry most of this same stuff. You hang out with crazy people if they find this stuff crazy. Granted the brand preferences vary widely, but guns and knives are just common sense. On general principal if nothing else. I’ve never used mine on anything but Amazon packages (the ones you can’t open with the knives, the gun can usually get you into lol), and the chewing gum keeps the grit out of your mouth in a sandstorm. You’d fit right in around here. Take care!

I'm an old Amphibious Recon troop from Geiger in the late 50's and love to watch these vid's about all the new high tech stuff troops have. You do an excellent job of presenting stuff I wish I had a reason to carry (other than my CCW permit). Happy to know about the evolution of the SpecOps USMC units. We called ourselves "Raiders" within the unit but it was just ego and making a connection with Carlson and the shit his troops pulled. Whooah!

I use a G43 with a bravo concealment. I carry two spare magazines with Strike Industries +2s. It’s excellent, the only issues I have with the G43 is sometimes the slide doesn’t lock back due to fat fingering the slide stop. I have about 1500 rounds through it with no problems.

I prefer to wear a watch at all times except when I'm sleeping. It's easier to tell the time by turning my wrist over and versus pulling my phone out of my pocket. Especially during work where I can't exactly have my cell phone out. Plus wearing watches that you keep track of time and probably don't waste time either

I picked up some latex gloves that I keep in my pack, wasn't sure how much use they would get up on my way to an interview I had to help someone change their tyre and stopped me getting covered in grime. More importantly however while working in the pub our doorman pointed out someone who was known to have HIV and had smashed a glass so for my safety I was glad I had them.

fossil...LoL You young kids sure love your cheat watches. I'd never wear a digital watch into combat when for the same price I can have a quality automatic that not only keeps good time but never needs batteries and isn't effected by water or EMPs. Fossil is a fashion watch brand, better than cheap Chinese watches but no better than Timex and nowhere close to Omega or ever Seiko for that matter. Still time change, in my day we didn't have body armor so something's are a much better. God knows the M4 is a thousand times better than my old A1, but a quality watch isn't made just by putting a black, grey or tan bezel and band on it and calling it milspec. Milspec mean the cheapest thing we could find that met the minimum requirements, not exactly websters version of quality.

Re: watches v. phones while talking face to face with another person - I try to use a watch to keep track of time, because it's a single-purpose item. If I look at my wrist, the person who is in front of me knows I'm checking the time. If I pull out a phone, there's a million different things I could be doing which could certainly annoy someone I'm talking to.

I totally agree that the wrist watch is perceived as a single-purpose item. The reality today, however, is that they can do much more. I have a "smart" watch that will vibrate when I receive a text or call. This is handy because I can casually see the gist of a text to determine the importance with out taking the phone out. Same with a call, and I can even deny the call from the watch. All the while the person I am talking to or meeting attendees just see me checking the time. For runners it can track pace, miles, gps, listen to loaded songs or podcasts via blue tooth head phones, etc. too.

Don’t travel through STL with that knife. Got charged by the airport with a misdemeanor carry a concealed weapon. Got charged $1500 by the city and put on it probation for 3 years for carrying that gerber. ($1700 additional for lawyer fees)

Nick Koumalatsos if the capacity wasn’t such an issue for me without needed a plus 2 magazine at the very least, I’d probably entertain it. The 43 has me on the curiosity fence for awhile, but I can’t imagine the draw being very easy or efficient under stress whether appendix or strong side. I actually stopped appendix bc I tend to wear it lower and don’t like when my strong hand finds my belt versus my grip. At least for the 26. The 19 I have no issue, but strong side also seems most comfortable for me. Less thinking on the purchase for me.

I love my G43! I've carried it for years with a Hyve 2rnd extension. I did a "fine" grain stipple. Jeans or board shorts, it's slim, great purchase with the Hyve extension and runs smooth . I run an IWB black point mini wing holster.

*I have that same tiny Gerber. One thing I would suggest is a Thrunite Ti3 flashlight on your keychain. Its bright AF and has 3 power levels to choose from. It comes with a little clip so you can even clip it to the bill of your hat and use it like a headlight.*

For your appendix carry do you have a NIJ Level II Cup from Optics Planet for your J... Strap ? For your digital watch EDC... UP-Grade to 24-Hour Mode, a NATO Watch Band and a name brand Suunto button compass from REI ! The SOG Trident in Black TiNi with a seatbelt cutter is a great EDC knife that does not need to be open to be useful ! Then you will not cut yourself like "Nutnfancy" ! Semper Fi, Nick! I was an 1811, M-60A1 tanker, fell in love with the M-60 LMG which later really got me into it after a time with Navy SpecOps and then Army Reserves where I got notorious with hitting targets at insane distances with the M-60. Did time as a contractor, Deputy Corporal and Rescue Diver. I'm disabled now with A plate in one leg and spinal and skull fractures/TBI in the frontal lobe and migraines daily. I carry a Glock 30 usually and an S&W 340PD in the pocket, so I can act casual but be ready to draw. The 30 is sometimes opted to a Glock 26 with a Silencerco model 19 barrel. In jacket weather I sometimes opt for two shoulder rigs put together to carry a Para GI Expert 1911 .45 and a Springfield Range Officer 1911 .45. I like to carry a pocket clip large folding Gerber sharpened to double edge Applegate- Fairbairn folder, a Surefire LED Executive, A Gerber Legend multitool and Leatherman Crunch visegrip multitool. I like a lightweight, push button release, ASP baton in my back pocket if I'm going out like the mall or whatever shopping. If someone thinks they can mug the disabled guy, one cane is a Cold Steel with a spike, one other cane has a full, double edged sword. I got that auto Benchmade Ranger Siebert Adamas folder recently and like it too. Mags or speedloaders, I like 2 to 4 for each and a few extra in the truck's glove box.I've worked 2 jails, 2 prisons and was an academy Firearms/Defensive Tactics Instructor. After 8 years of fights, I don't believe in paranoia anymore, just hard, concrete reality. I've been threatened in public 3 times and thwarted a specific attempted home invasion one night. After that was when I bought my converted to semi- RPK LMG, BWHAAAAA! After leaving the State Department Of Corruption, I realized my protection was IN MY HANDS. I envy you-I can't ride my V-Twin anymore! Thinking about a Royal Enfield Military bike with the sidecar...Stay safe, Brother!

Nick, I also run a G43. While I am a huge fan of the G19, certain times/clothes a smaller pistol is prudent. I use the pinky extension mag in the gun so I get a full grip and carry Taran Tac +3 mag extension on my spare mags. Amazing little gun. I also upgraded it with a tungsten spring guide rod and some grip tape. Thanks for great content. Semper.

What is in the lock picking set? Bump keys? Shims 4 Padlocks? Stuff 4 car doors? I use cheap "cardpicks" without the card and they work, depending on the lock and are so slim you can carry them under your phonecover or inside your belt. Btw. i`m not the best picker myself, there are hell of a lot kind of locks out there. As far as knives go a small swiss army knife + a keychain light is all you need most of the time. For a defense blade i like the cold steel spike. You can carry it like a inside your waistband holster or saw it on stuff e.g. several places on the Inside of your jacket or pack. I use a G43 and love it, great for the summer time when just in shorts and a tshirt or something. Plus its easy to grab when your just going to the convent store. Great video the only thing that I would suggest looking into is a light. See a few other comments about it, maybe a stand alone or weapon mounted one or both. Again something that you may not need, but worth taking a look i think.

I edc a Glock 43 with hyve +2 mag extensions in a crossbreed iwb holster. Love it! No printing at all and I forget it’s there all the time. I also have a bravo concealment torsion and I like the crossbreed more. You should totally get a g43. One of my favorite guns out there.

Bought a Gerber Strongarm knife, few months ago, awesome. Very sharp, holds up, very well under heavy use. I have used it to cut wire insulation at work, clean fish, cut meat. Cut my son's dry rotted old tire, off his bike. By far my favorite knife, replaced my Ka bar knife.
