@@TwoToes Yeah, just up a few weeks ago in an area an hour plus out of Los Angeles metal detecting where I found a meteorite fragment and some slob had dug a bunch of metal detector holes in a creek bed and didn't fill them back in. I always try to leave the area in better condition than when I arrived. Like you love the outdoors especially mountains

Gary,those look like lizard eggs. Had a bunch in some compost in my front yard. Never saw any baby lizards but I did find a small snake. Think he got the eggs. Love the videos. Glad you let.Jeff win once a year.

hey ive got 4 claims outside midpines/briceburg area near mariposa and the merced river .. if you ever want access to them id love to see you visit and do a video of you hitting the creek and seeing what you think. if you google the dragon gold on matrix from colorado quartz mine i have the creek below that claim with 100 acres total to search. i have a gate key from the blm to access the claim and its very rich in history and current mines are active in the area .. just let me know if your interested .. thanks for the great content and information you share. you are appreciated

HELP NEEDED PLEASE> I have not been prospecting long, but noticed when prospectors pass their trowel over the metal detector they discard what is is their hand. Question is, do you ever wonder if there was a second piece of gold in your hand you discarded, and just keep scanning the trowel you know is giving a signal. I would be scanning my fist of dirt on the scanner too, or do you just scan the tailings before you pack up, is that simpler. Much thanks my man....

Water is still kinda high with melting snows here in Happy Camp, CA. I’m old and can’t walk far so I bought my bedrock on a creek. Hi thanks for the videos. I'm in western Washington and trying to pan a river up here, I'm a green beginner. I'm having the hardest time because the material seems so big, there isn't much sand at all where I'm at, it's all gravel and bigger rock.. Is there a technique for this type of panning or should I just move on and try to find another area. I'm finding all sorts of garnet, not sure if that's a good or bad sign but I'm trying to learn. Thank you
